Re: Semi-permanently disabling modem in ResMed Airsense 10
👉If you put your ResMed 10 is in Airplane Mode... If you're required to turn on for verification, does it show your past usage? I think it will upload anything it has, but I'm not entirely sure. There are some DMEs who will accept a usage/compliance printout from your own analysis software - I'm wo...

Converting CPAPs into ventilators
How feasible is it to convert CPAPs into ventilators? A perhaps related question: how different is the hardware between a CPAP and BiPAP? Is the conversion from a modern CPAP merely a matter of software? I imagine that our inventory of new and used CPAP machines and supplies is pretty solid, and the...

You are most welcome! I'm happy to have been able to help!Geezer Butler wrote: Many of us don't have insurance, and we have to do what's needed to survive.

Re: Need to buy CPAP machine
...went to go pickup my CPAP machine. Found out that I will have to pay $500 dollar deductible on top of the monthly rental fee. So after doing some research online it's much cheaper for me to just by a machine online myself. ... I'm glad you decided on the pink S9 - it's a great machine, especiall...

Re: Air Curve 10 Auto
Condolences on your loss. Consider listing the machine on craigslist. Dealing face to face is reassuring for many people. In my area there seems to be a steady supply of machines moving through c-l. I'd expect an Airsense 10 Auto to fetch about $500. If you can find someone who needs the AirCurve, y...

Re: New machine after 5+ years question
Car camping or backpacking? If car camping, maybe you could use (cheap) lead-acid batteries and the ResMed 12V adaptor with your current machine? That should get you enough capacity for multiple days. This thread tells of my experiences using AGM batteries to power a Transcend machine. My suggestion...

Re: Airsense 10 new modem?
Wireless -- is it wi-fi, bluetooth, LTE, or what? Based on the model number of the modem in my 2014 machine (Telit model CE910-DUAL), it's 3G CDMA (EV-DO). In the US, that's compatible with Sprint or Verizon. I would not be surprised to see LTE modems in newer machines. As an alternative to "airpla...

Re: Resmed S9 on sale [Heads up]
The fatwallet post has been updated with a suggestion that makes the price even lower: http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/1478760/ If you register at the suggested merchant, add the CPAP to your shopping cart, then go away, they may email you a 10% coupon to close the sale, which brings the p...

Re: long camping trip
What sort of machine are you using? Some data: using a Transcend machine set to a fixed relatively low pressure: a 12V, 9 AHr AGM battery such as what I cited above lasted about 7.5 hours when attached to a mostly-blocked hose (no human), using Transcend's own 12V transformer (since the machine runs...

Re: long camping trip
One option might be to get some smaller sealed lead-acid or AGM batteries such as those used in uninterruptible power supplies. They won't be quite as light as lithium, but they're much cheaper. Battery Station has a 12V, 9Ah battery for $16. You'll need more than one, but you can at least scale the...

I'm not sure where you are at but I did find this list which might help you. http://hdmusa.com/where-to-buy/ Thank you very much! I have called a number of those suppliers. Many have told me that while they sell the Z1, they will not attempt to bill one to insurance. Some think that the machines pr...

The Airsense built in cellular modem is a pain in the butt if you don't want to use that function because of the "Nag" screen If you want the nag screen to go away, you can disconnect the modem: http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t104578/Semipermanently-disabling-modem-in-ResMed-Airsense-10.html Poo...
