Re: Autism and new to CPAP

You have a lot of issues to address. It might not help, but it would be a good idea to get an SD card, create a free account at SleepHq.com, upload your data, and then post the link to your SleepHQ reports in this thread. Members could then look at your reports and rule out any CPAP-related issues. ...

Re: [Health] Low AHI but poor sleep. Thinking about Supplementation

There is no magic pill. Study good sleep hygiene. Practice it. Spot on ChicagoGranny, good sleep hygiene is very beneficial. Here is one good link: https://sdlab.fas.harvard.edu/files/sdlab/files/sleephygienecheckliststriveweekly.pdf That is a good list. I would add, "Check your medications". Many ...

Re: [Health] Low AHI but poor sleep. Thinking about Supplementation

Magnesium Worthless. You already get magnesium in food. If you have a poor diet, read which foods are highest in magnesium. what other supplementation (Melatonin, Vitamin B6, etc. None of them work. Some have bad unpleasant side effects. There is no magic pill. Study good sleep hygiene. Practice it.

Is there someone with good knowledge I could send my Oscar data to to give an opinion on the pressure to see if it could be less?
The standard protocol is to post the appropriate OSCAR chart in this thread. Please read the first thread in the Announcements and the first page of the second thread.

Re: My Cpap machine quit

1. Did it get wet from the humidifier tank when you dropped it?

2. BTW, bottled water will not damage the machine. It might leave some mineral deposits in the humidifier tank. These can be removed with a dilute solution of vinegar or lemon juice.

Re: New to CPAP but feeling much worse instead of better

Forget OSCAR for the time being. Get a free account at SleepHQ.com, upload your data and post the link in this thread. Any 32GB or smaller SD card will work for data recording. Don't worry about the AIs at this point. You were probably wakeful when they occurred. In this case, they mean nothing. BTW...

Re: Airmini not working as well (as it did, or as my Airsense )

Min Pressure: 5.0 One thing I've noticed is that I occasionally wake myself up with a snore as I'm falling asleep with the Airmini. 5.0 is a very low pressure. Few people do well below 7.0. my usual Airsense 11 Autoset (and was with the Airsense 10, too). I have also had an Airmini for a couple of ...

Re: Airmini not working as well (as it did, or as my Airsense )

One thing I've noticed is that I occasionally wake myself up with a snore as I'm falling asleep with the Airmini. What are the settings on each machine? Please include the EPR and ramp settings. I asked my sleep doc about it and he didn't have much to suggest except, "Maybe you should look into Ins...

It's best to stay on the trail and out of the weeds. Especially if you tend to obsess over weeds.

If you are trying to find an excuse to quit CPAP, you don't need an excuse. Just quit.

I think I am about to go buy a new one out of pocket this afternoon from my supplier
How much will your supplier charge you?

Be sure to price-shop on the internet. This is a trusted supplier who has a good deal on an open-box AirSense AutoSet 10 - https://www.secondwindcpap.com/shop/
