Re: Battery Backups - Car Battery Jumpers?
archangle, that is a good observation which I have also made. My jumpstarter battery is 18 amps and the charger that came with it is rated at just 500 milliamps. That means that a completely depleted battery takes 36 hours to recharge. My solution is to use a Ctec Zafir 45 charger attached to the ba...

Re: Difference in Data between Sleepy Head and Encore Basic-
That's good to hear. I have never had the chance to try a Devilbiss machine so I don't know how I would do with it. Started my cpap therapy with Respironics APAP back in 2009. Never used a Resmed machine until I got the S9 VPAP either. So I haven't used the APAP in that brand. I did try CPAP mode i...

Re: Difference in Data between Sleepy Head and Encore Basic-
Pugsy, the PRS1 algorithm works very well for me. It's works as an APAP should work, unlike the S9 that had me at crazy pressures (for me) all night. I still like the Devilbiss AutoAdjust algorithm better, but the PRS1 is very good. I got a Hybernite and it solved my rainout problem, so I'm doing re...

Re: Difference in Data between Sleepy Head and Encore Basic-
I'd sure like to get a proper view of your data in Sleepyhead for that day. You can click and drag the graphs around and activate the needed graphs and deactivate the unneeded graphs. Try to make it look like this: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/56364909/Skjermbilde.JPG To lighten the mood even more, I go...

Re: HELP!!!!
As Pugsy say, I see nothing very wrong with your treatment. I have a feeling that the reason you're not feeling well is that you are breathing out against a unnessecary high pressure all night long. My advice to you is to put your machine in APAP mode, set the pressure range to 8-12 and Aflex to 3. ...

Re: SH software and SD card question
It makes no difference when you put the card in the reader. It only has to be in the reader when you import the data.

You can try to install Sleepyhead, it does the same thing as ReScan. See my signature field for the link.

Re: 2nd Night S9 Autoset, Oxygen Concerns
Take a look at this thread for some tips on getting your oximeter to work in Sleepyhead http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t84205/Cant-get--CMS50D-to-work-with-Sleepyhead.html My impression without any data to go by, is that you should try increasing your max pressure to 15. If you can show us any Sl...

Here is my masks, with my comments DeVilbiss FlexSet Nasal Mask with gel cushion. My first mask, still have it but it's been long since I used it. Worked well, fits well but it is noicy at high pressures. Resmed Mirage Quattro full face mask: My second mask, PITA to clean, PITA to adjust and leaks a...

Re: Changed machines, How Can I Start New Profile in SleepyHead?
You don't have to make a new profile for each machine, Sleepyhead will add any new machine automatically to your current profile when you download the data to your profile. This way, you get to keep your trend data. New profles needs only be created if your downloading data for more than one person....

Re: Any tips for a new Swift FX user?
Finding the right pillow size can be hard. Often you need a bigger pillow size (but less further in the nose) than you think. If you're "between" sizes, then you want to try a different pillow mask. The mask should feel a little loose, but snug enough to not move around a lot. You should be able to...

Re: So confused - which machines are good?
You should not accept anything other than an APAP. That is a machine that will adjust your pressure automatically within a set pressure range. These machines can also be used with a fixed pressure if need be. An APAP does it all, while a streight CPAP only does fixed pressure. As mentioned, data rec...

Re: Oximeter Tips or Tricks?
:) Where do you get the oximeters? The doctor never mentioned getting one and why do you use it during the night. I know what its for but confused as to what you're looking for. Is it to make sure you have the right pressure going for the amount of oxygen you're getting? Help, I'm a 3 week newbie. ...

Re: Can't get CMS50D+ to work with Sleepyhead
It worked! Thank you so much Burkebang. I followed your directions, and I was able to see my test recording when I clicked the serial import button! I am all set, and I will use the oximeter tonight and see how it looks tomorrow in the daily tab! I love this forum, you are all so very helpful!! It'...
