Re: Decreased quality of Swift FX pillows = Poor sleep quality
There is something wrong if you are replacing your pillows every two weeks and you are still not happy. I can make mine last for at least 3 months.Perhaps review the size you are using.

Re: how long does a heated hose last for? Cleaning?
Hello, Anyone have any thoughts about what the average life span of a heated hose for the resmed S9 would be? Do you know if insurance will cover it if you get a written prescription. $50 for a hose could add up fast if they don't last long? Also what about cleaning it. Do you have to be extra care...

Re: Probs w/rainout and shortness of breath
As regards the rainout can i suggest two more things. 1. Only put enough water in the tank for one night. 2. I only ever have a problem with rainout when i use my mirage softgel, like the one you are using. Try a nasal pillow mask like the aloha and you may notice no rainout. I also have been sufferi...

Just be careful as your asthma can come back with a bang. Keep your reliever meds on hand in case of an attack.

I have a VPAP ASV and it works well for me. Feel free to ask anything.
I was going to ask where you are from but "Chuck Connors" gives me a clue.

Re: Mirage Liberty (hybrid) mask questions
I got the mask a few days ago. I've previously tried the InnoMed hybrid mask but after 30-45 minutes of trying to adjust it I just couldn't. I was able to fit the Liberty mask almost immediately. The nasal pillows are also much softer and elastic which makes them much easier to fit and the head ban...

Re: Asking help on stuffed nose at night
I have exactly the same problem. With me it is an allergy. I saw an ent and she said nasonex would solve the problem but it doesnt always. I have learned to relax and the machine will make sure you get enough air even through one nostril. You can clear the nose with a spray but you are not supposed ...

Re: ASV question...huge pressure while wide awake..why?
Yes I had the same problem with high pressures before I went to sleep. First thing, get off your back. Take a few deep breaths and relax. I must be more used to the machine(or vice versa) as it doesnt seem to be an issue anymore.I have had mine since June 2011 My exhale is 1-4. My inhale is 5 - 15. S...

Re: Nasal pillow mask but leaking air out mouth
Well of course you could try a chin strap.
I manage to use the aloha mask without a strap but its not perfect as sometimes I can tell my mouth has opened.
I know what you mean about losing weight, its hard.

Re: cataract surgery and cpap
Interesting. I have been advised that i have cataracts in both eyes. I am told I dont need to do anything yet but probably in about 3 years they will need to be operated on.
Three years...who knows what will happen by then.
