New machine (Airsense 10 for Her) -- HELP?

Hi all, I haven't been around here for years, since everything was going beautifully and I was sleeping like a baby. And then my S9 started to act buggy, so I picked up a S10 for Her as a replacement. I programmed it to match my S9 exactly, and I have all the same accessories (climateline hose, in p...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.

Hey all! This forum helped me SO MUCH during my rough beginning, thought I'd post a happy update/success story! I'm coming up on 3.5 years of xPAP therapy, and those first few months, I had a lot of doubts about whether I could make this work. In addition to OSA, I am a terrible sleeper, easily dist...

Re: Praises for Pad a Cheek

?? I looked at the image for the pad-a-cheek liners advertised for the Mirage Liberty on the web-site but the mask doesn't look like the Mirage Liberty to me. As a matter of fact, it looks like the HYB500 Hybrid. I've just been researching the HYB500 Hybrid and went to the web-site and saw the vide...

Re: Praises for Pad a Cheek

I have to join in the love here. Whenever someone in my life is newly diagnosed, I buy them some Padacheek liners as a "welcome to the club" present. I find it makes SUCH a difference in how this therapy feels. No one likes the idea of strapping on medical equipment at night. But cozying into a fuzz...

Re: Mirage LIberty

I asked my RT about it and his immediate response was "It's JUNK!". Of course, this is the same guy who gave me a "Large" Quattro when I actually use a "Medium"... I definitely think this is a more, shall we say, niche mask. It's not like the Swift FX, for example, which works for the vast majority...

Re: Mirage LIberty

This has definitely become my soul-mate mask. I don't feel it at all when it's on. I just picked up an Innomed Hybrid recently, to see if I'd have the same success, and no. It just doesn't fit me right. Mirage Liberty is perfect for my face/head. May everyone find their soul-mate mask, whatever it is!

Hello and a Liberty Hybrid Hack!

Hello dearest forum members. I've missed you! Things are going as well as can be expected with us. My husband is still going through chemo, but we're making sure we keep having fun and keeping our spirits up. And both of us are 100% adjusted to the hose-head life -- neither of us can sleep without t...

Re: 22yrs old with a bipap..how to deal with it?

Hi Bella, I am a younger woman too, and a newlywed. Both my now-husband and I started xPAPs together before we were married, and using them together has been really wonderful. But I particularly want to focus on the "how to tell" question. I think people take a lot of cues from us in how we talk/fee...

Re: Most Comfortable Hybrid Mask?

What I am about to say is perhaps not what you will most like to hear, but I feel duty-bound to say it anyway. The most comfortable hybrid mask is the one that fits your face. There is just no way to generalize. I have tried both the Innomed Hybrid and the Mirage Liberty. I *hated* the Innomed, and ...

Re: I have my machine/mask, what else do I need?

Such a good question! I second the Padacheek mask liners. These are LIFE-CHANGING. They can make a mask go from "I can endure it" to "I love it!" I have four, and I rotate every two days or so, washing in between. (I wash my liners in a zippered pillowcase in the washing machine, then hang to dry. O...

Re: Grades

I hate my brain! I have Mild tramatic brain injury, PTSD, "from the Iraq war, sleep APNEA. I try so hard to study for my Geology exam and got a sweet "F". I am on a CPAP, have been on it for a month now. Will I improve my grades, I love learning wish I could get my grades up. Will I get better is t...

Re: Cpap Intimacy killer or am I being superficial?

I'm a young woman who had some of the same feelings you do about wearing the mask. But the denial passes (hopefully) and then you figure out what works for you. Some suggestions: -- Let your husband see you in the mask. People will respond to things the way you teach them to respond. It always kills...

Re: For Sale: S9 Autoset/H5i Humidifier-Zero Hrs $475 free ship

Just another little bump, and a testimonial. I bought our backup S9 Autoset from STL Mark, and he is amazing to work with. This is the real deal, and the best bargain in town.

Re: I Hate My CPAP!

Hi Val, I know I'm late to this party, but let me say: WELCOME! Like others, it drives me crazy when doctors tell people it'll only take a week or two to adjust to CPAP. With compliance around 50%, I just don't think that's true. Some lucky ducks do great out of the gate, but it is more of a struggl...
