I guess I'm still not following on the T thing... I have seen her avatar on here, but do not remember her name. Has she had this charge I assume?

Re: Another DME scam?

Well, I guess they decided to start charging a "diagnostic fee" under the guise of a mask fitting... I never had such a fee in the past, and feel $150 to not even test the mask at pressure is ridiculous.

Is it common for DME's to charge such a fee for mask fitting?

Does this look like a REM issue?

Ok, I've noticed a common trend to most of my data from my S8 elite. Here is last night's: http://tubularfab.com/upload/tubular/benderstuff/sleep/fxnight.JPG I'm struggling to get below AHI 5, and am mostly dealing with hypopneas. Looking through my graphs I notice they seem to come in cycles; bunch...

Another DME scam?

Ok, I have 100% DME coverage with no copay or deductible, and in the past every cpap supply orde was free. I just happened to be logged in to united healthcare and was looking at recent claims and noticed a $60 amount applied to my deductible. Amongst the equipment charges which were all covered the...

Re: S8 Elite download question

Yeah, I know I can't get any usefull data beyond 180 days, but seems like there should be a way to get the running totals from it. Maybe something that has to be done with a cable instead of the card? Oh well - I guess a cell phone snapshot of the data screen will suffice!

S8 Elite download question

Is there a way to download the total usage numbers from an S8 Elite with Rescan (I think it's 3.14)? It's not giving me the same totals as I can get through the display on the machine. I have an annual physical next week with a new doctor that I am intending to also get a new CPAP prescription from,...

Re: Need Mask Cushion replacement help

I have both the original activa and he LT, and the cushion interface looks identical. The bodies, vents, adjustments, and headgear attachments of the masks are different, but the cushion snap in looks exactly the same. I'd open it and try it - make sure you get all 3 tabs in the cushion snap ring to...

Re: Can you snore without mouth breathing?

Yeah - my point is I don't have mouth breathing or leak problems. My tongue stays put on the roof of my mouth, and my mouth stays shut. He was telling me that I must have a mouth breathing issue if my wife hears snoring, and I was arguing that I don't have mouthbreathin issues. Funny thing is he use...

Can you snore without mouth breathing?

According to the RT at the DME last week no. He said to snore you have to have your mouth open... I'm not buying that, though. I can "snore" if I try to breathe in quickly through my nose while my mouth is closed. I actually wake myself up snoring tha way if I happen to fall asleep watching tv or ot...

Re: Have you ever had Sinusitis with CPAP therapy?

Twice since Christmas for me. I have a theory that the pressure pushes the stuff that would normally drain back into your sinuses and holds it there. I mentioned that to an urgent care doc last week and he laughed at me.
