In the market for a new CPAP machine.
It's been five (5) years since I last purchased a CPAP machine and am in the market for a new machine. It seems to me the biggest development and difference in the machines today versus 5 years ago is the ability to transmit data wirelessly to my sleep doc and his/her ability to make adjustments to ...

Re: Recommendation on power supply unit.
Thank you CapnLoki and klv329.
palerider, several of us have a bet on whether or not you'll have 15,000 posts by the end of the year. I think you can do it.
All the best,
Chuck

Recommendation on power supply unit.
Hello,
I'd appreciate any recommendations on power supply stations for CPAP machines, to be used on camping trips and such. Also, I'd be interested in knowing if the batteries are covered under insurance. Thank you.
All the best,
Chuck

RemZzzs CPAP Mask Liners; grumpy face on CPAP machine.
I started using the RemZzzs CPAP mask liners two nights ago. When I checked the readings on my machine in the morning, it has displayed the grumpy face symbol the past two mornings, indicating an improper mask fit. I haven't had any leaks that have awakened me the past two nights and have felt gener...

Re: Nuvigil use, effectiveness and side effects.
I'm interested in learning more information (other than what's readily available on the web) on Nuvigil from the people on this website who have used it in conjunction with CPAP therapy. Was it helpful for daytime alertness, or not so much, and any side effects you may have experienced? Any informa...

Numbers look good. Overly tired feeling.
I know that there are many factors that can have an effect on sleep, such as a good mask fit, low leakage, diet, medication, number of hours slept, alcohol, etc.. My AHI is less than 1, leakage is low, no alcohol, exercise regularly, sleeping 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 hours each night, yet by the time the afte...

Best way to clean your full face mask.
I'm interested in learning what cleaning solution has worked the best for cleaning the silicone part of the mask. No matter what I use, I can't get the silicone anywhere close to the squeaky clean, good fit, which it usually maintains in the first week of use. Thanks a bunch for your words of CPAP w...

Re: Significance of tidal volume?
Thank you for the reply and information. I will locate the source of the information in the books I read which discussed tidal volume in people with sleep apnea vs. people without sleep apnea, and post here. I don't recall that the source makes a distinction between max, median and 95% numbers. Base...

Key numbers to focus on in SleepyHead?
Aside from AHI and leak numbers, what other numbers within SleepyHead are important to focus on? Of course, some numbers you can affect, and others you can't. Thank you. -Marty-
