Early morning beeping noise on Resmed S9 VPAP. Any suggesti
I've been woken up occasionally with unwanted beeping sounds coming from my machine during the night. The machine will beep three times in quick succession, then repeat. Has anyone experienced this? If it's a quick fix on my end, that would be great. Thank you. -Chuck-

Re: Sleepy and Fatigued
Perhaps I don't have the most recent version of Sleepyhead. I'm not accustomed to seeing two lines on the Leak graph. Also, on the left side in the statistics box, it shows the Leak and Total Leak. For my machine, it's my understanding that anything under 24 is acceptable. I would love to have a su...

Persistence pays off. Feeling lucky and grateful.
Thanks to the knowledgeable people on this site and research on my part to find a good sleep doc, the results have been great. My AHI never exceeds 1, the majority of the time it’s under 0.50 and many times it is zero. The leaks are generally under control and the 95% leak number is usually under 20...

Quattro Air vs. Quattro FX - FFM; night & day difference
FYI, the leaks dropped significantly when I swapped out the FX for the Air. My DME provider informed me that the FX is being phased out and that the Air has been selling well. Wished I had known about the Air previously, but I have it now. -Chuck-

Re: PureSleep as an alternative to CPAP? Input requested.
I'm helping a brother out in terms of bringing him to appointments with his sleep doctor. His sleep study showed that he has sleep apnea and is at a level of 6. A CPAP machine was prescribed and he used it for a couple of weeks, but felt he couldn't tolerate it very well and returned the equipment ...

Re: PureSleep as an alternative to CPAP? Input requested.
I'm helping a brother out in terms of bringing him to appointments with his sleep doctor. His sleep study showed that he has sleep apnea and is at a level of 6. Is 6 the ahi during the study, or the pressure determined from the second part of the study? The 6 is the ahi during the initial sleep stu...

Leak rates: differrence in how it's viewed by DME and users.
I went to my DME provider this morning to purchase a new Quattro Air, which hopefully will do the job on the leaks I've been having with the Quattro FX. The technician did a check of my machine and reported that the leak rate for last night was 14, which she thought was fantastic. I had my doubts ab...

Tips & Tricks on reducing leak rates?
I've learned much since I joined this site on how to improve the quality of my sleep. The one area I'd like to improve upon is lowering the leak rate of my mask. I've done the usual: 1. Wash my face at night to remove oil 2. Clean the silicone daily with a small amount of gentle cleaning shampoo 3. ...

Re: Accuracy on leak rates? ReScan or SleepyHead
Thank you both for the information. The version of SleepHead I'm using is 0.9.3 - Build date-5/18/13. Last night, the 95% leak rate with SleepyHead was 25.3 and ReScan was 24, which is close enough for me to confirm the accuracy of the reporting.

Accuracy on leak rates? ReScan or SleepyHead
Curious as to the difference in the reporting on leak rates with ReScan and SleepyHead. For last night, ReScan shows a 95% leak rate of 3.6, while SleepyHead shows a 95% leak rate of 19.2. All of the other numbers on both reports seem to be close to each other. Any ideas on the variance with the lea...
