Nasal pillows upside down (intentionally)?
Hi all,
I was messing around with my data on Sleepyhead when I noticed that I had particularly good numbers on a night I managed to wear my Swift FX upside down (don't ask). I know one night does not a data set make, so I put them on upside down for a while just sitting here, and weirdly enough, I think they fit my face very well like that. I am considering trying it this way for another night.
My question: does anyone else do this? Is there any reason I shouldn't? Am I silly for even trying this?
Thoughts?

I believe they wear them like that in Australia.

the_nap_ster,
I don't use nasal pillows, so take this for what it is worth, but if it works for you I would go for it. As everyone here already knows, every person, every face is different. What works for me might not work for you. That being said, I think it is kind of cool to hear of different applications to the equipment and other accessory stuff we use each night. I believe they even have the 'Lab Rat Awards' (or something like that) here if you search for it.
I hope whichever way you use your nasal pillows that you continue to have success with your PAP therapy

I can rotate the pillows in my Hybrid--it's probably possible on other masks as well.

Wow! Wise, funny, and now poetic... I guess no one can say that all you will ever be is just a cute amphibian face. And to think it all started with Kermit...chunkyfrog wrote: "Every nose is different; every schnozz divine.

I always told my kids, IF what you are doing isn't working, try something else.

Re: Nasal pillows upside down (intentionally)?
I have put my pillows on upside down occasionally - it feels really odd to me, and I can't stop the leaks. I would not dare say that it is weird for someone else - it is just weird for me! Whatever works, just do it!

Re: Nasal pillows upside down (intentionally)?
I did it with my Swift FX just 2 nights ago, and didn't notice until I took it apart to clean. I was surprised that it fit pretty well upside down for me as well. Or come to think of it, maybe it doesn't fit that well in any orientation
Re: Nasal pillows upside down (intentionally)?
I know this is an old thread, but I want to say upside down is the only way I can use mine. If I put them on right side up they feel like they are suffocating me and leaks are impossible to fix. Upside down and they feel natural and comfortable. If I look at my pillows right side up they are kinda angled down, if I turn them upside down they are angled up like the direction of my nostrils.
Just a FYI...
