New Medicare Part D rules - also covers DME
Got my annual book about my Medicare Part D Prescription coverage rules for next year. New rule. For your prescriptions to be covered by Part D, the physician that wrote the prescription must (1) be a participating provider with Medicare OR (2) file proof with DMS that the provider writing the presc...

Called my mail order DME. They are sending me an Airfit F10 For Her Extra Small to try. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will work.

Re: Hans Rudolph FF mask no longer seals for me
Mouth breathing would still be problem. Hybrid, maybe. But at my pressure (22/18), I don't think they would stay in my nose.Guest wrote:Are nasal pillows not an option?

They don't make children's full face masks. Only nasal masks. Has something to do with potential choking on vomitus.LSAT wrote:Have you checked into childrens masks?

Hans Rudolph FF mask no longer seals for me
I've tried everything. Even with brand new replacement mask and/or cushion, the mask leaks all night. ResMed machine has red sad face every morning. Seems to leak the most at the chin when my head bends forward when sleeping supine on a pillow or curling chin to chest when sleeping on side. It also ...

DME requiring proof of annual sleep doc visit
Has there been some rule change in Medicare? My DME is now requiring proof of visit to sleep doc within the past twelve months in order to receive supplies. Anyone else running into this or this just a DME rule?

Re: Having Coronary Angiography and possible Stent
I had two stents put in 2005, after a heart attact, then 1 month later a quad bypass, then 1 year later a defib implant with defective leads. I take Plavix 1 tab daily, and 1 81mg aspirin, daily lab tests twice a year, still ticking. My heart output is only 35% at best. Jim So the stents placed in ...

Re: Can you try CPAP without becoming dependent on it?
Yes. I am 100% addicted to CPAP. Been on it for 15 years with the last year on BiPAP. I absolutely CANNOT sleep without CPAP. Just dozing off I startle awake gasping for breath. If I can't breathe, I can't sleep. So I am a CPAP lifer.

Re: ResMed Humidifier overheating
I have been using my H5i humidifier as passover now for a week. No climate control. Temp OFF. At first, I set humidity at 5. The tank ran out of water during the night. Not good. So now have it at 3.5 and makes it through the night. Since I always had temp set at 70, I doubt my humidifier did much h...

Re: Left DME without machine :(
Don't get your preferred mask from that DME. IF HE DOES order one for you, he won't be ordering replacement cushions for you. It will be total pain. I had a DME that just plain refused to order my mask of choice. Changed DME's. Now I get replacment mask every 3 months with 2 replacement cushions lik...

Re: Amara Full Face - Red forehead marks all day
I tried the AMARA and hated it. My main issue was where the air enters the mask. It blows over the nose and feels like a mini hurricane all night. The size extra small was still too tall for my short face. When I opened my mouth, the bottom of the mask slipped into my mouth.

Re: ResMed Humidifier overheating - Anyone have used for sale?
I have had it on Climate Control so no humidity adjustments possible. I put the temp at 70 but can't go lower than 65. But it is now obviously getting a lot hotter than that. Do I turn Climate Control off and then turn off heat?

Re: ResMed Humidifier overheating
How do I turn it off? There is no power button on it. I think I have to change some settings on the VPAP itself.
