Re: FREE SleepWeaver Advance w/ Head Gear
Can I ask what was it that you didn't like about it? Just wondering if it is worth trying.

Re: swallowing air
I turned my exhale relief off and started having the same issue. Doctor said that the EFR would help with that. I turned it back on at 1 and it resolved the issue. Maybe it will for you too.

Could you move your window unit to your bedroom or look for one on sale for your bedroom? I'm sorry you're going through all this

Re: questions about lowering AHI
i am really not reperesenting that well - I can't reach my doctor by phone or email - I can email the RT to ask questions. Didn't argue about the pressure - just told him that they forgot to change it when they said they would and so I did it myself rather than try to go back in there - do not drive...

Re: questions about lowering AHI
thanks VikingGnome - you bring up some realy good points. I had to smile when I saw the part about not looking at the data and then deciding how I felt that morning! I have been guilty of that for sure. I guess I just want to get my OSA as controlled as possible - so many people post about their AHI...

Re: How do you power off the resmed S9?
Roger has a full face mask in his profile. The ability to use "Smart Start" is turned off when a full face mask is selected in the setup options. I use a FFM occasionally and it works fine with smart start. i just leave mine on and use the smart start feature unless I don't want any giant spkes in m...

Re: ResMed Quattro FX for her full face mask
Hi - I'm a newbie too. Whatever you do don't block those vents. That is for the CO2 to vent. Does it bounce back off your pillow and make you cold? I started using a small airline type pillow on top of my regular pillow. Allows more freedom for the mask to hang off. I think there are special pillows...

Here are the last 2 days of data. I did get my full face mask and as you can see from last night I fought with it for...

Re: Aloha...first night
Thanks for the info. I will look for a different chinstrap. Tbe one I have now is Breatherite or something like that. has 2 straps.
As far as the prescription, I don't have it. I'd have to get ir from my doctor, not a problem I'm sure.
Thanks again!

Re: Aloha...first night
Do you have to have a prescription to buy a mask from CPAP.com? I use a nasal mask and just picked up a FFM to try as my doctors office let me try a new one even though it has been 2 months. I guess the Aloha might not work well as my main problem right now is my mouth opening in the night. Chin str...

Re: questions about lowering AHI
thanks everyone! I am going to try to post some data later today so I can answer some of the questions. I feel good - I didn't feel that bad before starting CPAP but I am happy with how much better I feel. There were times with tiredness - that felt like I could not shake it. I don't have that at al...

questions about lowering AHI
I started CPAP therapy on 2/2/12. I have an S9 autoset and my inital pressures were set at 5 and 8 by the titration study. My sleep clinic was great during the studies and setting up and explaining the machine - horrible at supprot and follow up that they said they would do. RT told me he would call...
