Re: OT Nasal Cannula

When you order cannula supply again ask your supplier for some ear cushions. Their just s small length of foam material about 1/4" in diameter with a grove in the middle through which the cannula hose passes over. If your nose is getting sore that is usually from being dried out by the oxygen which ...

Re: Medicare Advantage Plan denied basic DME supplies

I just switched over to Humana Medicare Advantage Plan as of 1/1/13 and they have denied my claim for typical DME equipment supplies. I had the same problem and I also changed to Humana the same date this year. I made a complaint with CMS and was able to get what I needed on load until they got it ...

Re: Cleaning machines, masks and parts

I've had no respiratory infections and I haven't found anything growing on any part of my rig. The mask cushions last about 8 or 9 months. YMMV I seriously doube that if there were any bacteria in or on your unit, that you would be able to see it with just your eyes. Bacteria range in size from 0.2...

Re: Cleaning machines, masks and parts

Don't know if its good but thats what I use twice a week. I rinse with water in the morning daily. Soap cleaning 2 times a week. DITO that except I use both 3x a week. How meticulous you are depends upon other problems such as COPD which raises many more issues requiring fastidious cleanliness. Bro...

Go to cpap.com and order a SnuggleHose Cover, they are $13.95 and work well for this problem.

Re: ResScan4.2

I didn't remove the older version (4.1) and 4.2 just installed over it and I had all my data. Didn't do anything special. It doesn't seem to download as quickly as 4.1 did. Though still faster than the pre 4.1 version which was horribly slow. Thanks for the come-back. I did the same thing yesterday...

ResScan4.2

If anyone here has installed the new ResScan 4.2 software, does the old version need to be un-installed first?

Re: Citrus II Hospital Germicidal Deodorizing Cleaner

I use an odourless soap, toss in some Control III germicide, let soak for an hour, brush with a paintbrush bought for the purpose, rinse well and air dry. I have five masks used in rotation, one week at a time. I can tell you that even a single spore or a minute bacterium can and will KILL YOU or d...

Re: How do I know if I am subject to compliance?

The best thing I would recommend for you if you already have crapia for your DME is to save every delivery receipt and bill and compare with what you actually got. You may need to use your camera to take photos of the equipment with serial numbers and visit the CMS website frequently to keep apprais...

Re: Complaints about Lincare

I was going to switch yo Lincare after dumping crapia in January but aI am really glad I did not. My new medicare company does not deal with either of these two, fortunately for me. I hope there are not similar stories about Summit Respiratory as it appears I will be switching over to them in Januar...

Re: Mask leaks...

As zoocrewphoto pointed out, your mask will leak if you have it too tight. I also found from my own experience that in addition, if you tend to perspire a lot in the night that the natural oils in your facial skin can also cause leaks. I keep a box of those disposable facial wites at my bedside to w...

Re: ResScan software

The 4 version is faster. Where do you find that software? I just checked with the Resmed site and could only find ResScan 3.16 available for download. Can you provide me with a url to get the 4.0 version from? Thanks in advance. Hope everyone is enjoying Thanksgiving. I am waiting for the charcoal ...
