Re: Camping for a week without easy electricity
Small quiet generator such as a Honda or Yamaha 1000, they produce very clean electricity, very quiet, and will run a good 8 hours on a tank of fuel.

Re: Can I take a 1 hr nap without my CPAP?
I cannot nap anymore since I have been on my APAP, lay there and cannot fall asleep - so I just get up and keep busy.

Finally AHI under 5
Been on xPAP for a month, first few weeks my AHI was 11 to 15 and the last week it has slowly crept downwards since my "Real" APAP Machine arrived. Woke up this morning and my AHI was 4.79, I am beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. Slept over 8 hours last night and feel half human today

Re: Anyone use REMzzz mask liners?
I tried them, they suck in my opinion, I bought a pad-a-cheek liner and it is very comfortable and stays in place - very well thought out design and a very nice lady who makes/sells them, even returned my call on a Sunday

Re: New to CPAP/APAP
First few weeks were rough for me, finally seeing my numbers improve, and sleeping better - only issue I have is a sore nose from my Mirage Quattro
Keep a good attitude through any frustrations, keep on using it as much as possible, and things will get better.

Leaks & AHI
If you have leaks in the 40 to 50 range will it cause your AHI numbers to appear lower or is there really no effect on the actual AHI?

I have thought about trying one, I am a mouth breather and am struggling with my mirage quattro - sore nose and tired of the pain.

Re: It was the drugs that did it!
My Doctor put me on Zoloft for Anxiety back in December when I was first diagnosed with the Polycythemia (then later sleep apnea), me and Anti-Depressants do not mix - thought I was going to go crazy and stopped taking it. The best way I have dealt with anxiety is by exercising each morning, walk a ...

Re: Im done with this doc!!
So I had my appointment yesterday and I'm really pleased with my new doc, he looked at my sleep study and explained everything to me and he asked alot of questions to make sure i was diagnosed correctly and explained why they were pertinent. Re: Better settings for PR S1 Auto?
Wondering why i got an email with a reply notification, i click on the link and the site tells me no such post exists.. That's my bad, I replied with my experience with my APAP and then realized in your signature that you have a BIPAP Machine - so I deleted my post. Pugsy has answered your question...

I will check with them when I pick up the new machine, thanks for the information. Hopefully the guy from SleepyHead will read this thread, I would be glad to supply any information he needs to read the new machine data, be glad to send him a donation as well.

Re: PR S1 REMStar 60 Series Auto CPAP with Heated Tube
Well since this is my personal machine that I just bought I will have to start using the new machine (PR S1 APAP) that my DME is going to hopefully have today in stock due to them not giving me an Auto up-front. I will miss the heated hose but would rather see my sleep data everyday.
