Re: Sleep Profiler Quiz
Those tests need options like: I don't read anymore because I can't focus or absorb what I read. So I don't fall asleep while reading. I don't fall asleep sitting in traffic because I don't have the energy or motivation to go anywhere that I don't have to. For me it isn't about falling asleep, it's ...

Re: Getting my new ResMed S9 autoset tomorrow!!
I just got an S9 Autoset last week and it says "Autoset" on the cover. But as I was reading this thread, I did go check the sku # and the hours. I am using Apria and have not had any problems, though I didn't and still have not read the 3-4 pages of fine print on the back of the agreement. I dropped...

Re: A nap without my pap
I made a carrier for mine to easily take it to the living room if I am going to veg in front of the tv an might doze off. I'm thinking a bad nap is worse than no nap at all.

Re: I velcroed up last night!!
So does this mean the velcro sticks to your hair and keeps the mask from slipping? I use the FX and a chin strap and I have slippage problems with both. JillianSue, Someone also suggested taking the comfort wraps off the cheek straps of the fx. I tried that last night and mine stayed in place much ...

Re: CPAP without Apnea?
If you or your insurance company has already paid for the sleep study, get the "Full Scored Data Summary Report with Condensed Graphs". (I think that's what it's called. If not someone will be kind enough to correct me.) Then you can read it and can take it to a sleep doctor. My AHI was only 11, but...

[quote="helpful1"]...My only reservation regarding the Swift FX (and nasal pillows, in general) is that your nostrils may become much larger. Some people with narrow nostrils may not mind this,...

Great Reply Robysue! Thanks, I've bookmarked it so I won't have to ask when I start messing with the stats.

Re: Mask Question -New to Forum
I tried a mask during my titration and couldn't get to sleep with it. Had leaks with it too. After an hour and a half, I asked to switch to the Swift FX and went right to sleep. Only had to adjust it once(loosened). I'm only only on day 2 and the first night took some getting used to but last night ...

Re: Smoking
What do you use Stormy? I use a nicostick, keeps life simple. I wonder if smoking or the chemicals added to tobacco, might mask OSA symptoms somewhat. I think my sleep problems became much worse after I switched. Now that I have had my sleep study, I think many of the symptoms may not have been as b...

Re: Second night with APAP-comfortable may not be working
I just finished my second night with my APAP. I was excited when I picked up my machine to see that I got to use a nasal pillow mask rather than a regular one that I had to use in my sleep study. Hi epichic, We started the same day! I'm suprised that you got a different mask than you wore during th...

I have been having the same problem. I use 3 different strengths of readers at various times. I was hoping maybe it was sleep related... Guess I better make an appointment.

Re: Dear CPAP, Thank you!!
Good for you! I hope I can be writing a thank you letter here soon. I just started with mine last night. I know what you mean about finally getting a diagnosis. I knew I wasn't sleeping well, but I never knew I stopped breathing for a full minute at a time. I felt better the day after the titration ...
