Re: How to deal with air leaks with "Quattro FX"?

I have been using the quattro FX for a year and I am pretty happy with it. I read this thread last night and then paid greater attention to my mask fit. I checked my ResScan data and for the last month my stats have been 0.0 for median leak and 2.4 for 95% leak. I was surprised to see such good numb...

Re: Having ACL surgery - any advice?

it sounds like you have really good advice on this thread. I just second the advice to make sure you insist on time with the anesthesia person. make sure you write on every possible form that you have osa and use a cpap. sometimes this means filling in "other" If you think you may stay overnight be ...

re: thread on coconut oil and alzheimers/flaxseed oil?

I have read the posts in the thread about coconut oil and I am wondering if anyone has found any info about flaxseed oil and alzheimers etc. I use some flaxseed oil every morning in my protein shake breakfast and it has done wonders to keep my cholesterol down. Does anyone know if coconut oil and fl...

Re: flying and cpap

I think if you call your hotel and tell them you need distilled water they can have it in your room when you arrive. Otherwise I would just use bottled water from a vending machine or bar or ? As others have said, you should have no prob getting through with the machine. The first time I flew with i...

Re: Resmed liberty hybrid

you might try the mask library where you can get on the list to tryout a mask....I dont have the link handy but I am sure someone on the forum does have it. I tried the Liberty and it just does not work out for me at all. If you try it out and if it works for you PM me and I'll send you all my stuff...

Re: Weight Watchers: Eat All the Fruit You Want

you are correct,in WW the choice of foods is up to you. But remember that WW also includes daily healthy checks: 6 glasses of water, 2 dairy, 5 veg/fruit, healthy oil, and some exercise (according to what you can handle). And there are bonus points for those days when you absolutely have to have som...

Re: Weight Watchers: Eat All the Fruit You Want

I have lost 20 lbs in 3 months on the new WW points system and I think it's quite good. It definitely attempts to help you learn healthy & balanced eating patterns for the long run. Some who have responded to this thread may not be aware that once you reach your goal weight you pay nothing to WW as ...

Re: Mirage Quattro FX FFM - Feedback?

Everyone's face is different but I am pretty sure that the mask liner by padacheek will prevent your nose from getting sore. My nose was terribly sore while I was on the quattro mirage and the mask liner solved all that. Since then I wouldn't even consider not having one.

Re: Mirage Quattro FX FFM - Feedback?

I am pretty happy with my quattro fx. In my opinion it is much more comfortable than the quattro mirage or ultra mirage. I recommend a padacheek liner for it....makes it a bit more comfortable. I've been wearing this mask for 10 months. The leaks are not a problem for the most part and it is great t...

Re: Software???

I have ResScan loaded on my windows 7 pc. Can I load Sleepyhead on as well? When I put my sd card in to download data it will automatically activate resScan. Is it possible to download data to both programs for a while? I guess I'd hate to lose all that I have already loaded through ResScan but I'm ...

Re: new to fourm and just diagnosed with sleep apnea

you might need to try several masks before you find the one that works for you. I am not a big fan of my local DME but it might be worth working your local DME on the mask. They "should" help you get one that's appropriate for you and a good fit, and you should have 30 days to try it out with the po...

Re: Fell asleep accidently without CPAP!

I went without it for 5 days this fall due to a power outage and I felt horrible all day. I was more functional than I was pre-cpap but it was rocky. I also woke up about every hour!!
