Good luck Scott, keep everyone posted on your progress. The heated humidifier made a world of difference to me but not everyone seems to like them. Definately pursue it if you have any discomfort after your therapy. Good luck!

Hi Kent, just bought one last week to replace a Respironics Comfort Select. The "active" cushion seems to work vey well. I have had no leaks and the mask is comfortable. Overall quality seems excellent as expected from Resmed and disassembly and cleaning is easy. On the down side, it is somewhat bul...

Welcome to the forum! You definately are not going nuts! The answer to your question of how long before you feel better is probably anywhere from tomorrow morning on. Some folks respond right away and others take a few months. You didn't mention but it sounds like you are tolerating the mask and mac...

Not so bad DME
My DME called yesterday to check up on me and while we were talking, I mentioned I was thinking about a Mirage Activa mask. She offered that she had them and invited me to come down for a fitting. When I got there after work tonight I discovered that she was waiting for me after hours. I also found ...

OSA in perspective (mine)
Just came home from my dme suppliers office with a new mask and wanted to share a thought. I have admittedly been very fortunate with my own therapy although I got here via hospitalization and heart failure so I think I can say I did it the hard way. As I sat waiting for my RT, I looked around at al...

Just have to throw my two cents in - I think Liam and Mikesus are right on, you're describing some pretty classic OSA symptoms. You might need to take a second look at your therapy and make some adjustments. As for myself personally, my brain fog is a result of too much time behind the dugouts durin...

Liam, I think of you like my crazy old Uncle Wilbur. Always smelled like wine from a box but generally good for a laugh! No, I'm kidding. We all love having you here, you've added so much to the forums. We all pray you get some rest.

Hi FM, Used to be Assistant Chief in a little burg in the Chicago suburbs. The very first thing I thought of when I was introduced to this equipment was the positive pressure MSA's (and leaky masks). Like you, I didn't have any problem with them but I saw many people "freak" and jerk the mask off bo...
