Re: distilled water

I use distilled water from 1 gallon plastic bottles. I have also never seen or heard of it coming in glass bottles. Perhaps if you are concerned with the distilled water coming in plastic bottles, then a counter top distiller machine like what ughwhatname uses might be the answer. You could then put...

Re: I was visited last night by Pugsy's space aliens

My guess is that when Pugsy got to the 20,000+ posts mark, that some sort of vortex or space time continuum was opened up allowing them to not be bound by time and space. Travel now for them is instantaneous and there is no telling when or where they will show up next. The only known hosts at this p...

Re: Grumpy Old Man

I love this poem Stormy. I think this should be posted in every assisted living facility and nursing home throughout the US to remind the staff members what working with the elderly is about about. 49er + 1 !!! I agree with 49er and DoriC that it is a excellent poem that should be shared! It might ...

One way goes out, the other comes in.

I much prefer Blackspinner's fourth frame--then it makes sense.
Wow, 50 years old and I still learn something new each and every day... thanks CF .

Re: suffering on ASV, lower IPAP?

Hi Maddie, I need to correct something. You mistakenly used a quote from my posted response in this thread and credited it to JohnBFisher. Though I aspire to show the same wisdom, experience, and the gentle and helpful sprit he has shown here for many years, I am not in the same league and feel tha...

Re: suffering on ASV, lower IPAP?

I told you to STOP posting on my thread madalot. If anyone else has anything beneficial to say about my ASV and treatment that's great Sorry, SWA17. I'm a grown woman who has every right to post in any thread. And with a few bumps, I have been a pretty nice member of this forum. You, on the other h...

Re: suffering on ASV, lower IPAP?

Regarding your settings, I've been very clear in the past .. EPAPmin of 4 is probably too low. Set it to 5 or 6 to better support respiration. Unless there is some reason to do so, I would also recommend an BPM setting of AUTO. Those are two simple things that will help. SWA 17, If I were you and f...

Re: Anyone travel with their daily machine?

I have taken my primary PAP machine on trips in the past, but now use a newer 560 bought as backup for that purpose. I am currently in San Jose in the airport dealing with a second flight delay, the first mechanical, the second due to visibility conditions at my home destination (foggy). So flight p...

Re: Karen, with Pad A Cheek, is wonderful

I have only dealt with her through some correspondence (email and a PM I believe) but was so thoroughly impressed with Karen's kindness, gentleness, and helpfulness that seems to be a part of who she is, what she is about. In my opinion, with what we deal with as SA/OSA sufferers and the support and...
