Re: CPAP and vacation

Take it. You may already know this, but airlines let you travel with it for free. It's medical equipment and not counted as a carryon. Just don't put anything but breathing equipment in that bag. Take an extension cord because you never know the outlet situation at your destination.

Re: The best chin strap and why I need to use one ...

I have a small head and the chin straps I tried on swallowed me. I think perhaps the Ruby would have fit me, but I never got that far. I made my own chin strap from 2" stretchy suspenders. I use the slide so it's adjustable, but it's really just a circle that goes around my head. Sometimes I pull it...

Re: Further on trials of CPAP nasal masks/pillows

For me, it was the Swift FX Nano. I love it and pray they never stop making it.

You're not alone with your good fortune. I felt better almost immediately. I've certainly had some bad periods, but generally if I read for answers here, I find them. If not, I post and someone helps me.

Re: Resmed FX Nano for her

I thought the Swift Fx was a gift from heaven, but I love the lack of leaks with the Nano. I'm sleeping so much deeper and waking up less. I have found that the Nano is sensitive to creams I put on my skin at night and I'm wiping it down with Cpap wipes each morning. For those wanting to experiment,...

Re: help me understand what he's goin thru

Sometimes guys just do not want to talk about things. The more you ask, the more they watch sports. I know I'm generalizing, but that's my woman-surrounded-by-male-relatives observation.

Re: Resmed FX Nano for her

I'm in the same boat and don't want to commit to a mask until I'm sure it's what I want. I bought a Nano cushion over the internet and I'm using it with my old FX headgear. I've only used it for two nights, but so far I'm impressed. It feels "different" when you're used to nasal pillows and I was ce...

Re: Newbie--Scared, Overwhelmed & waiting.....

You're going to be fine. For the actual sleep study, you don't need to know everything. It's when you get your report and pick a machine that you'll benefit from all the knowledge you can get. The advice you get here is priceless. I slept poorly during my sleep study, but it was enough for the techs...

Yes, you will. Every person's journey is different, but you will feel better when you sleep through the night.

Swift FX Nano - attach to regular FX short tube?

I'm going to experiment with the FX Nano cushion and I want to know if it will attach to my regular Swift FX For Her short tube and mask. In the photos it appears that it would.

Re: Freaking out

Thanks for your help. I'm looking at the LCD window. I only take the card out when I see my sleep doctor. Apparently my machine was a half day off, but I didn't realize it. I thought it was 11:04 pm and it thought it was 11:04 am. When I changed the date and moved the time to 12:04, that's all she w...

Re: Freaking out

I discovered that part of the problem is that my machine is apparently on military time, so it thought I changed it to mid afternoon of "tomorrow". So it's not 13:10 now; it's actually 1:10 on March 22.

I'm going to unplug it again and reboot and see what happens.
