Re: Suggestions for Travel CPAP requested
I recommend mine. DeVillBiss Intellipap Autoadjust The features and feel are so close to my regular machine, that I do not feel deprived. The 12 volt DC power option is easy and inexpensive to use, and the humidifier might be needed if your bunk is air conditioned. I have had my Intellipap for 6 yr...

Re: Intellipap auoadjust and super cpap battery pack C266
The intellipap will run on 12v except for the heated humidifier. Next to 110v ac cord you will see the 12v connection. It is better to run it off 12v then using an battery and an inverter to produce 110v. I can run my Intellipap on a $40 Jump Start Battery at least 8hrs on one charge. I have never t...

You may have had a power failure sometime during the day that reset it.

Re: weird hours on IntelliPap
The Intellipap uses a 12 hr clock. Unplug then plug it back in right before you go to bed. This will reset the 12 hrs to include the time you are sleeping. I had this happen to mine before. The 12 hrs is expiring 2 to 3 hrs before you wake up.

Re: Intended for short term use only
My back-up machine came out of the sleep center from the hospital I work at. It was "thrown out" and the guy in the Biomed dept knew I used a cpap and grabbed it for me. He fully tested the pressure and it was right on. It was labeled with a sticker "DEMO USE ONLY" "NOT FOR USE" It only had about 4 ...

Re: Weight loss advice!?! - join in the fun
"I even had a whole large piece of pizza from Costco for dinner and the next morning my sugar level was still around 120." YIKES! You seem to be saying "my sugar level was still around 120" the next morning like it's a good thing. Yes, it's better than over 200, but by getting better control of you...

Re: Weight loss advice!?! - join in the fun
It seems everyone is different for what works for them. I went for my yearly checkup in April, my blood work came back with my fasting sugar @ 266! My BP was 130/80. I am a fat 5'7" 285# (now 270#) 48yr old. By changing my diet by eliminating as much carbs as possible and sugar and processed foods. ...

Re: Vitamin D level Poll
Does anyone know if Insurance plans cover testing Vitamin D levels? Just curious as I checked out the kit(s) on Vitamin D Council's website and $65 for 1 test seems a bit pricey to me and I'm paid into my deductable for the year 100%... My Insurance covered it 100% as part of a wellness checkup. No...

Re: Wise to tell the Doctor?
My Doc knows, They do not have the software for the Intellipap and I do, so I print off my report and give it to them for my yearly check. I even had the Doc write an Rx for the software and module so my Medical Spending account could be used to purchase it.

Re: Anyone know what is the meaning of SLA?
I work in IT. The company I work for has an agreement with our customers, that when they report a problem with the equipment we have x amount of time to resolve the issue. Each incident has a priority 1 being the highest and 4 the lowest. There is an agreed amount of time in the contract as to how l...

I just use my banks FREE bill pay. They will send a check to people or companies that do not or can not accept electronic checks. My bank will print the check and mail for no charge. My ex sends me a check every month from her account. The bank prints and mails it for no cost to her.

Re: Devilbiss Heated Humidifiers - Overheating?
Mine is going on 3 yrs... it works perfectly, no smoke..LOL Also the Devilbiss have one of the longest warranties 3 yrs. I think the DME was pulling your hose. Even if it did somehow overheat I can't see how it would pass any smoke to you. The chamber is heated from below and heats a metal plate in ...

Re: Data or No Data
I would first determine if your sleep specialist agrees to go over your reports. My does not. He holds MDs in internal, pulmonology, and sleep medicines. He believes in results from sleep clinics only. There is no way that I could show him my ResScan Graphs. I am lucky, last year the Dr wrote me a ...

Re: "Massive" Credit Card Breach of Estimated 10 Million Account
These types of things always make me laugh at the people who are afraid to do their bill paying, banking, purchasing, etc on the Internet. These people think "ooh big scary internet, people will steal my identity, credit, etc." But these are the same people who happily give there card to waitstaff a...
