Re: CPAP.com accepts Flex Spending VISA?
I used mine last year to buy mask supplies and the software module kit for my Intellipap. I did have my Dr write a prescription for the software module. I had her put the following on the Rx "SmartLink Version 2.0 Software with Module, Cables, Data Card and Card Reader for DeVilbiss IntelliPAP Machi...

Re: Need to go into hospital
we're all spoiled with the automatic machines. you know hospitals won't have a bunch of them. if they supply the machine its more than likely gonna be an old first generation straight cpap and some old mask. given the choice, i'll bring mine with my mask. That all depends on the hospital. The hospi...

Re: Short Lived DeVilbiss IntelliPAP AutoAdjust
The DME is pulling you leg, The Intellipap has a 3yr warranty, even if they no longer carry it they still could send it back to Devilbiss. Devilbiss would repair or replace it. Did you ask for the Devilbiss to be special ordered? Or did they have it laying around and pushed it off on you.?

Re: Need to go into hospital
Check with the hospital's Respiratory Therapy department. The hospital I work at has machines and BRAND NEW single use patient masks, hoses etc. They may or may not let you bring your own depending on the hospital policy. If they do allow it they most likely will have it checked out by their Bio-Med...

Re: Does inusrance compensate for sleepless nights
When looking at new machines check out the Devilbis Intellipap Auto. It can run DIRECTLY on 12v from your cars 12v port. The Humidifier will not be heated but will provide passover humidification. Also the Intellipap is a nice small and compact unit, designed to travel and comes with a very nice tra...

Re: A Night in Hospital with CPAP
Sorry but my machine is never Filthy and if I found that I couldn't use my Equipment I would insist on leaving ASAP and be transferred or released to a different hospital. To me it seems as though its just one more thing they will want to charge you for. There also is no way to know what hospital g...

Re: A Night in Hospital with CPAP
Only problem is some hospital will not allow your home equipment in. I work in a hospital and have talked to one of our Resp therapist, The hospital I work at USED to allow home equipment, but had to change the rules and NOT allow it anymore. She told me the main reason was the home machines were so...

Re: Where's my TRASH button???
I usually read the forum around 5 am EST. I see quite a few "SPAM" messages. I just hit the report spam button and *POOF* they are gone! I think I probably hit the button 2 - 3 times a week.

Re: new to fourm and just diagnosed with sleep apnea
If money is tight the Intellipap is your best choice. Even without the data module. True you do not get as much data without it, but most people don't really need all that data. I bought mine without the module, then bought the module the next year, and frankly I find it does not have that much mor...

Re: DeVilbiss Humidifier Question
Sorry... I did not mean to offend you if I did. Yes it I can see it to be challenging with visual perceptual and manual dexterity problems. Maybe you could stand it up on edge in the sink some how and then pour the water in. So what if it spilled, it would be in the sink. You might use a little more...
