Mirage Liberty discontinued
I did a few searches but didn’t find a similar question. When I was a new CPAP user 15 years ago, I went through 4-5 masks before finding one that worked - Mirage Liberty. I just logged on to buy my annual replacement, parts, etc., only to find that it’s gone. What has everyone replaced theirs with?

Re: Anyone with o2 Supplement..... my goal is to get rid of this
I've spent the last 29 years of my life in IT - from developer to analyst to management in numerous capacities. I have degrees in business and IT. And as I've said twice, the way that page is laid out, it isn't obvious that every cms50i in the list is the same. Do you realize that different sellers ...

Thanks. Sometimes it helps to have a little reminder of why I left this forum before. I won't make the same mistake twice.

Re: Anyone with o2 Supplement..... my goal is to get rid of this
All the thinking for people? My apologies, I didn't realize I was asking for the earth. The listings on that site are different enough to cause someone who doesn't already own one to question whether they are actually the same, or whether there are differences in what's included, etc. I offer help t...

Re: giant storm in my area, power is probably going out
Too late for tonight, but - rig up an adapter to a car battery (or buy one if your machine's manufacturer has one available); buy a purpose-built CPAP battery backup; or, buy a UPS. I have a UPS and have also used the car battery option; both work great, but you may have to run your humidifier in pa...

Re: Anyone with o2 Supplement..... my goal is to get rid of this
one of the best, a cms50i is about 100$ direct from china on the aliexpress website. Can someone please post a specific product link? I see lots of different cms50i listings on that site, the prices are all over the board, and the cheapest one I see is about $120. I just want to be sure I'm not mis...

Re: Best and easiest way to get mask seal REALLY clean
I did the boil using a solution of water, baking soda and white vinegar. I went 5 minutes, rinsed, then another 5 minutes - because it didn't seem to have any effect. After the 2nd boil it seemed like it was a little cleaner but not enough to be worth the trouble. It was still just as cloudy and I c...

Re: Best and easiest way to get mask seal REALLY clean
OK, I read all 4 pages - thanks for the link! Based on how long it takes for this buildup to start becoming visible, I think I'll try a once-a-month boil and stick to what I'm already doing the rest of the time. Thanks again!

Best and easiest way to get mask seal REALLY clean
I've been washing my seal every morning with Cetaphil facial wash. It's convenient since it comes in a pump bottle, smells nice, gets the silicone nice and clean, and seems to rinse easily. However, I've found that after a few months it does begin to build up small deposits of soap scum (yuck) in th...

Re: Septoplasty + Turbinate Reduction Recovery Time
I would say 2 weeks is not too much. I had it done when I was 30. I didn't feel like much for a few days, didn't start to feel really normal again for about a week, but sure wouldn't have wanted to fly just a week after that. If I can answer any specifics about it, let me know. In my case it did abs...

Re: Watch out for UPS's and inverters
Most UPS's and inverters produce a Modified Sine Wave (MSW) voltage, which can damage some CPAP machines. ResMed says MSW is OK for S9 machines, but not S8 machines with humidifiers. I haven't heard a statement for A10, but it's probably OK. I haven't seen a statement from Respironics, but I suspec...

Re: New machines
I really appreciate everyone's replies - you've saved me a lot of time getting started. I do travel occasionally and will (at least for now) probably continue to use my backup M-Series for that, unless there's a compelling reason not to. Currently I have my primary M-Series which I use with a F-P hu...

Re: New machines
Great thought on waiting for new models. However there are a couple of considerations. First, I've seen where new models have come out and people have had problems with them. I don't want to buy an old clunker, but I also don't care much for bleeding edge. Second, my insurance co-pays tend to get sa...

Re: Do silicone mask parts have a "shelf life?"
Well, 1) I wash mine religiously every morning and 2) my skin tends to get slightly oily at night, so maybe that's why I get less than a year out of one. I think I'll buy extras when the time is right and plan on keeping them in the dark, as I always have. Thanks everyone.
