Re: How often do you replace your humidifier chamber?
The DME is always wanting me to replace my humidifier chamber (and everything else). It seems like overkill to me. Even though I’ve never seen signs of my humidifier chamber needing to be replaced I’ve replaced it 2 times since I’ve had my machine (about 4 years). Unfortunately this morning when I ...

Re: How do you calculate CPAP energy costs?
I'm trying to calculate how much of my energy bill is due to my resmed. It's plugged in all the time. Is there a formula folks use? Do an Internet search and then sort through the information: https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=calculating+the+cost+of+operating+a+CPAP+machine+on+yor+electric+bill&atb...

Re: philips respironics Remstar C-Flex
There are too many variables in this situation. Assuming you DID have a data-capable machine with a smart card, the problems arise when matching the computer operating system with the software and hardware needed to extract the data from the card. Finding a card reader isn't all that hard: https://w...

Re: philips respironics Remstar C-Flex
Hello, I am new to this forum. Like its not obvious. I desparately need to retrieve the data from my old machine in order to get my CDL lisence. Its the last requirement for the job I am trying to get. I love my machine, but I cant find anyone to help me out. I know absolutely nothing about softwar...

Re: Is the goal to ultimately be on fixed pressure?
Is the ultimate goal to get onto a fixed pressure? Or is there any issue with being on an APAP range permanently? I seem to have better numbers on an APAP range instead of a fixed pressure. In my opinion, the goal is to get the best therapy and the best sleep. As has been said, an APAP machine can ...

Re: Is a 0 AHI score actually possible ?
Wolfie, I used to have multiple, consecutive AHIs of 0 but that was prior to a massive stroke that stole my cognition and language. It put me on months of full-time oxygen support and in a wheelchair, then a year in asst living, and now independent living...3 surgeries, covid variants twice (thank ...

Re: Is a 0 AHI score actually possible ?
Who the Hell resurrected this 15 year old thread? I've read through it and can't figure it out. Fifteen years later (actually eighteen years since I started therapy) my therapy numbers and therapy in general are still superb! I still have many nightly 0.0 AhIs and my monthly average is about .2 - 0....

Re: Illness from CPAP
I was wondering if anyone has ever gotten sick from an uncleaned/unsanitized CPAP machine. What were your symptoms and what was the incubation period after exposure? Thanks in advance. How in the world would someone KNOW that their CPAP machine made them sick? In order to prove that a CPAP machine ...

Why on earth would you NEED some form of technology to MAKE you be "compliant"???
Just make sure you sleep more than the minimum number of hours EVERY NIGHT!!!

Re: Airsense 10 help, 7-12 events/hour
It’s an Autoset. (Sorry the paperwork from the VA all says Respond. I dunno why.) No idea why they would issue an auto set and leave it on fixed pressure (now that I have some understanding of the difference). How much of an interval is recommended for the pressure is recommended to start titrating...

Re: Adjusting For Maximum Moisture
Hello Friends I use a Res Med Air Curve 10 ST I'm having Dry Mouth problems leading to Tooth Decay, which might be from other factors . However, can someone please tell me how to adjust the machine for Maximum Moisture? Thank You :) Ever heard of "The Law Of Diminishing Returns"? Sometimes "Less is...

Re: After six months I still hate everything about my CPAP and notice no difference in how I feel during the day
My thought was, " Who the hell is isleep?" Google pulls up another DME-- Ummm, what made you trust them? You are in charge--or nobody is. Been wondering the same thing. A search didn't help a whole lot but gave me a few possibilities. https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=%22Isleep%22&atb=v350-1&ia=web

Hi Last night I had 22 variable breathing events (23.32%). Would anyone know what defines a variable breathing event? I did supply a link to my data. Re: Traveling
What do you do when you travel if you can't afford a travel CPAP? You either take your primary machine with you or try to find a lightly used duplicate of your primary machine and use it for your travel/backup machine. In my opinion, "Travel"(smaller) machines are a waste of money and a marketing s...
