Re: stabbing pain in heart area?

If you take enteric-coated low-dose aspirin in the morning, take it at bedtime. I found it made a big difference while I was waiting for my sleep study results, prescription, and machine. I had the 'shaky wake-up's several times a night, and this one trick stopped it BEFORE I even got hooked up. My h...

Re: ClimateLine Hose how to tell "Original" vs "Improved" Model

So maybe I should just save my money and put a snuggy on my slimline.
I've already got vetwrap around the places where the first one tore.

Re: Starting to figure this out

I snagged a 8" remnant of fuzzy microfiber at the fabric store.
Whenever I have a little boo-boo, I cut off a little chunk and wrap it wherever I need a little cushion.
it works like a charm. And the little scraps of soft fabric go in the wash with the socks.
Good luck, and hang in there.

Has anyone tried the didgeridoo?
If you can't afford one, there's one or more instructables teaching how to make one.
Sounds a lot cooler than a vuvuzela!
Even if it didn't work, it's a nice project with the grandkids.

Re: pillows vs full mask vs nasal mask

Facing your fear is a very good thing. I think maybe there is a connection between such apprehensions and the sort of subconscious scenarios (dreams) our minds create to 'fit' our apnea. At first, my equipment seemed foreign, invasive; but soon became my friend. This will get better with practice, a...

Re: How does my S9 determine "night"s?

Did you check the nights use before you slept with it? Maybe the DME had it on the morning before to test it--that would have added a day.
The three hours will probably be added to the subsequent night .

Re: ClimateLine Hose how to tell "Original" vs "Improved" Model

I'm planning to order one from my DME before winter (and before my calender year runs out--new deductible)
Maybe if I ask really nice for the 'new' model and bring home-baked brownies, i might get it?

Re: The Flu and Cpap - No Joke!

The yellow-green goo is your body's reaction to an infection, either bacterial or viral. If it smells like chlorine, your antibodies (white blood cells) are working. Antibiotics will not help anything but bacterial infections, and have the potential to make existing bacteria resistant to drugs. They ...

Re: sleep aids at start of treatment

Used to take alprazolam (Xanax) before CPAP, when I was too 'keyed up' to sleep. No drugs since, except maybe half a beer with my honey. Beginning treatment, I'd lay there listening to the machine and my breathing--sort of in a 'zen' thing. Maybe it was sort of like self-hypnosis, but it worked. Now...

Re: ResMed S7 Lightweight

It just frosts me when so-called 'professionals' refuse to let us operate our own equipment. Was it ever this way with diabetes? How long will it take before our 'care'-givers stop their silly turf war, and let us manage our own treatment the same as THOUSANDS of diabetics have done for years? OOPS,...
