Feminine looking chin strap?
The chin strap my DME sent me was huge and ugly and black, and we couldn't tighten it enough to fit me. When we got close, it was halfway down my neck and covered my mouth. And did I mention it was ugly?
Right now I'm using one I made myself out of wide elastic. I magic markered it pink. I know it's kind of silly, but I like to wear girly things when I sleep.
I've looked all over the Internet and I can't find a chin strap that looks feminine. There's a white one, a blue/white one and a Ruby red one. I've looked on Padacheek and they don't make chin straps.
Do any of you have suggestions?

Find what works--regardless of color.
Then line it with pink minky and bedazzle the heck out of it.
Just a suggestion.
Sounds like you are creative. You may have found an empty niche.
I made a bandanna cap for myself out of floral fabric, with a matching cotton chin strap--similar to a PapCap.
It worked pretty good, but was too hot with my thick hair.

Re: Feminine looking chin strap?
I discovered you can buy wide elastic in COLORS over the Internet! I found lots of pretty ones in 1 1/2" widths, but not many in 2" widths, which is what I made my other chin strap from. I found 2" stretchy elastic belts and I ordered one. I'll shorten it and see if it works. If the belt doesn't work, I'm going to try suspenders next.
I know I'm sounding like an airhead here, but I promise I'm not one. Well, maybe just a teensy bit of an airhead. Now and then.

Newbie Woman, when it comes to this stuff, whatever works for you is what works for you, and I applaud you for deciding to do something to make your chin strap more suited to your tastes.
Nobody has ever called me an airhead (and they'd better not start ) but practically the first thing I did when I started cpap was to make myself a custom headgear in a color I like, with swarovski crystals on it, to boot. I figure that if I'm going to live with wearing the thing every night for the rest of my life, I might as well enjoy looking at it while I put it on.

Ha ha, don't be too impressed - I used to do theatrical costuming in my spare time so I have all kinds of sparkly stuff stored away. I figured only I would see me in it, so why not have a little fun.Newbie Woman wrote: Swarovski crystals! I'm impressed.
Sounds fun, especially the lab rats part!chunkyfrog wrote:How about a cpap fashion show?

Actually I've wondered whether to bump the "Lab Rats Trophy" thread. I found it via google advanced search, but it's about six years old and I wasn't sure if the links had all been collected somewhere more recently, with the current generation of equipment. I find it useful for to see what others have done in modding - there are some good problem-solvers around here.

Re: Feminine looking chin strap?
I'm SO tickled to find this thread! Y'all are really cheering me up about my options. It's been rather a bleak and sleepy day given that last night was my first night using my new CPAP machine. Does anyone know if there are any women-only threads or groups? I think some of my questions/concerns might be better in a women's only forum, such as: how the heck to get used to sleeping with this stuff on my head when I can't stand wearing anything at all to bed and rip off nightgowns in my sleep? Or: how to not feel so unattractive in front of my spouse (I've only been married a few years)? Any tips at all would be welcome before I launch into Night 2. I am determined to make this work!!!

No one sees it when the lights are out.

Nate, if you really want to look cute, wear a blue bedazzled Bella Loops.
Whispering now. I have no clue what Bella Loops is but I hope it's not something um... inappropriate.
