Re: Boiling Stuff Part 2

I put my old floppy FX pillows in the top rack of the dishwasher, including a dry cycle, and so far, I've had good results. I would only do it to the ones ready to be thrown away. I'm thinking these things were created with heat, so maybe heat rejuvenate them. I'll try boiling next, so thanks for th...

Re: Doesn't this have to get better?

I know everyone here understands apnea. It's almost like hanging out with people you've known for thirty years. You don't have to explain the history of what's going on with you because they already know it. I don't know one single woman in my "real" life who has apnea.

So how did the test go?

I feel for you. I know it must be especially frustrating to want to be sharp for the test and unable to have a good night's rest. Hang in there.

Re: Feminine looking chin strap?

I discovered you can buy wide elastic in COLORS over the Internet! I found lots of pretty ones in 1 1/2" widths, but not many in 2" widths, which is what I made my other chin strap from. I found 2" stretchy elastic belts and I ordered one. I'll shorten it and see if it works. If the belt doesn't wor...

Re: Very sore neck! - Rebumped because of new issue!

Sometimes I lie very still, especially when I'm having mask trouble, and I wake up hurting all over. I'd call the doctor anyway.

I'm the newbie, not the expert, but your settings are confusing to me. Why would your exhalation pressure be higher than your max pressure?

Re: New Guy w/ Questions

Hi Steve. I was one who had good results early on, but I find the sleepiness comes back from time to time. You feel so rested when you wake up and a few hours later you'd kill for a nap.

Feminine looking chin strap?

The chin strap my DME sent me was huge and ugly and black, and we couldn't tighten it enough to fit me. When we got close, it was halfway down my neck and covered my mouth. And did I mention it was ugly? Right now I'm using one I made myself out of wide elastic. I magic markered it pink. I know it's...

Re: cleaning climate line hose

I swish mine in hot water and dish detergent, raise and lower each end a few times, then rinse by holding it under running water. I dry it by hanging it from some hooks I have in the laundry room. I doubt it's totally dry by bedtime, but it's close enough. In the morning I leave it hooked up until t...

If you did that, and they did that, I wouldn't want to sleep with the hose ever again.

Re: Covert Operations (Dont Tell)

Each country's medical care system seems to have its problems. This forum is where I receive the answer to most of my questions. By the time I see my doctor, I have it down to a few questions that are specific to me. He knows I look at my data. He seems pleased that I do, and I'd think a "secure" do...

I wonder if it's the decompression time with friends that you enjoy so much, not necessarily the drinks.

Thom, woo hoo! Way to go! Happy dance for you!

I don't think you have anything to lose by waiting to see what the doctor says. I agree with Emilia. Even if I were declared "cured" tomorrow, I think I'd continue using my machine.
