His 'n Hers Machine

Post by hyperlexis » Sun Nov 03, 2013 4:13 pm

I don't know if any of the manufacturers are watching this site at all but I think it's really time for a dual, or his 'n hers machine. So many couples on here talk about their spouses, etc., being on cpap.

It would be great if the manufacturers could market one machine with outlets and controls for two people. It's certainly technologically possible, and it would save a family from having to buy two separate machines for each person.

Which, I'm sure is one reason why it has not yet been done....

Oh well perhaps I should patent something.... (Like I know how to build a CPAP machine....)

hyperlexus,
I don't know if you meant this seriously or expected much response...but basically it's a bad idea. It would be very close to two machines in one box...so little savings. And just like a TV with a built-in dvd, if the dvd breaks down...you have to take the whole shebang into the shop. I assume what you're looking for is a smaller footprint. Get a cabinet with two shelves.

Oh, and another thing. Talk about hose nightmare...unless you sleep in twin beds and could put the mega dual cpap between the beds. But keep trying. If you come up with a good idea, I'll let you know!

Practicalities aside, how romantic... "And the two shall be as one..." .

I actually thought of the same thing once; before I understood how they work.
Sometimes an idea is not as good as we think it is.
Maybe a rolling double cpap travel case? Nah, probably wouldn't fit in the overhead.
