Re: Due for a new ASV machine
I have the same machine as your "Beastie". I also have a second, identical machine as a backup. My original just turned over 10,000 hours (3.75 years) and my backup only has about 300 hours, so I'm probably good for awhile. But I'm pleasantly surprised to see the price of Respironics' new ASV is "on...

Re: Leaks, completely out of the blue
Thanks for your reply. The strange thing is that it hasn't been one good night, it's been 3.75 good years (as good as you can get with one of these). Then, all of a sudden - leaks. Last night I tried a home-made mask liner. It made a huge difference. I just ordered a Pad-A-Cheek one since I know it ...

Re: Leaks, completely out of the blue
Thanks for the input. I did change the cushion. Last night, when I was continuing to have problems, I got out a brand-new, unused mask and continued to have the same problems. No weight-loss (sadly) or no significant weight gain either.
Thanks,
Tony
Thanks,
Tony

Leaks, completely out of the blue
Hello again Suddenly my Quattro and I cannot get along. I've used it for nearly 4 years with no problems. Then suddenly this week I'm getting tiny little leaks right below my eyes, on both sides. I've tried everything that I can think of but nothing is working. Looser fit, tighter fit, insanely tigh...

Re: Any used mask wants?
I'm interested in a Quattro FX, size Large. (I use the Large for my Quattro, so I'm assuming this would be the same.) Do you have any?
Thanks,
Tony

Re: New computer/old software
Do you know if it will read my old data from the old computer? Would I just drag-and-drop the data files into the same data directory as Encore Basic? You can copy the entire Viewer program folders and files onto a SD card and paste it onto the 64 bit computer. Then open the folder and find the app...

Re: New computer/old software
Thank you Pugsy. Basic installed perfectly and runs just fine.

Re: New computer/old software
I just switched to a Windows 7 machine (from Vista) and my version of Encore Viewer version 1.0 will not install. Will one of the versions you have mentioned in this thread work for me, and if so, can I please get a link?
Thank you,
Tony

Re: REMStar BiPAP AutoSV Advanced vs BiPAP Auto SV
Thanks for the input. I think the 25 peak is for some other BiPAP models. My Auto SV machine will go as high as 30. Thankfully I only need to go to 20.
I'm waiting to hear from the seller. I don't want to miss out on this chance to snag another backup.
Thanks again,
Tony

REMStar BiPAP AutoSV Advanced vs BiPAP Auto SV
Hello
I may have an opportunity to purchase a barely-used machine. I am currently using a BiPAP Auto SV, which I need for my Cheyne-Stokes respirations. The one I found is a "REMStar BiPAP AutoSV Advanced". Is this simply an "Advanced" version of the machine I already have?
Thanks,
Tony

Re: A firefighter in need of help...
As a medic, what advice would you give a patient with low oxygen saturation, headaches, etc. who didn't want to go to the doctor because they got all worked up at the thought of it? The sleep study isn't too bad. I've had two of them. For the first one, I was really concerned about all the wires and...

Interesting Pod Cast on Sleep
It's five years old, but it was interesting. You can find it on I-Tunes. It was on WNYC's Radio Lab, dated May 24, 2007 and was entitled "Sleep". Why do we sleep, we do we need sleep, what happens chemically when we sleep, when we're tired? These questions were explored and I found it interesting. T...

For me, my search began here:Chuck Connors wrote:Can you let me know how you went about researching and finding a good ablation Doc?

I don't remember exactly where but if you search there and post questions, you will begin to find some names.

Have you considered reporting the seller to Amazon?
