AustraliaAirsense 10 autoset $2700 or $1700 r they the same?

Australian- Total Newbie here finding the buying of a cpap very confusing.
Diagnosed with severe apnea a couple of months ago AHI 66
Have been using a trial machine now I have to give it back and buy my own. The sleep place I have been going through want $2709 for the Resmed autoset airsense for her but I see it in another state for just under $1700 seems exactly the same . I'm a long way from a capital city so I guess that's why they think they can charge so much in my local sleep place.
i would like to be sure the cheap place is reputable and not too good to be true. Does anyone have any good reviews of cpap suppliers in Australia that sell reasonably priced cpaps? I have to buy it this week and I am so reluctant to be ripped off just because I don't live in a capital city. I have a very good health fund and will get back 85% up to $1800 so I need a place that I can get an Australian invoice.

The link you posted was for the AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her model.
The only difference between the "For Her" AutoSet and the Regular black Autoset is the flowers on the outside and the "for Her" model has 2 apap modes and 1 cpap mode.....the regular has 1 cpap mode and 1 apap mode available.
See the manual here for more details.

Now as to the cpap supply website itself that your link went to I have no idea as to how good they are or not. I am in the US and have no experience of course in that area.

We have a few Aussie members here who might have some experience with them. Most don't have insurance so they order from places like secondwindcpap.com who have machines much less costly than with what Aussie suppliers charge.
Since you have insurance to help you out it it's a different situation.

Sent you a private message.

While Johnny and Carolyn the hosts of this website probably wouldn't mind as they don't sell machines in Australia, they do ship masks and parts so I don't think its fair to post links to other CPAP websites.

If you buy from an Aussie supplier it's going to cost you (or your insurance company).

I have got all my machines from the US and they were a bit over one third of the price of what they would cost here in OZ. However, your health provider probably won't go down that path and as they are paying the bulk you might as well buy local.

The price of the machine from the CPAP Clinic is very good for Australia. The company looks to be reputable from what I've checked out so you could go for that option. The Autoset For Her is a good buy as it adds an extra algorithm.

There's also this with a free mask

Happy hunting. Check with your health insurance provider before pulling the trigger.

I've checked with a number of Australian insurers and none will cover purchases from aussiecpap as it is just drop shipping from the USA.
