an ahi of two isn't working for most people. i know that doctors want you to believe that an ahi of five is fine, but it's not. speaking most broadly, the lower your ahi is, the better your treatment and the better you'll feel.

Guys - it all doesn’t matter. What matters is Everyone here on the forum is doing their best to help someone they don’t really know (ME) in their time of need.

Thank you all so much for the help. If I could only stop having an apnea / arousal whatever when I fall asleep - life would be so much better. But it could always be so much worse.

The anxiety of knowing it’s going to happen tonight til 4/5am is killing me currently. But I need to get it out of my head!

Best night yet! Still can't sleep for awhile but dozed off a few times early. And a great AHI. Hopefully the start of some better times! Down 27lbs in 7 weeks so far, so hopefully that is helping.

Hi - little caution - people who lose even a little wt (e.g. 15 lbs) may find their masks no longer fit as well because of course your face changes (faster than the rest of you), so just keep that in mind and adjustments, etc. may need to be made in future.

Do NOT strap your mask as tight as can be - it cannot do its job properly because the silicon can't inflate. It should just rest on your face comfortably without moving around, but you should not have to crank it to work.

Starting to make some real progress. Got to sleep sooner, now looking for a couple days in a row for consistency. And hopefully eventually sleeping long than a 2 hours at a time. But can't complain at all with the progress.

Question - with my pressure mostly being at the minimum, should I attempt to lower the min at all?

My pulmonologist wants it at 9.5 - 20. My "Sleep Doctor" wants it from 6-18. Any suggestions? (Inclination is to not listen to the sleep doctor who hasn't given me on bit of confidence that he knows/cares yet)

You had it at 9.5 on May 16th's graph. Your AHI was lower that day. You could go back to 9.5cm pressure and continue with that, or you could go up to 10cm of pressure to see if you can knock out those snores.

Ignore the sleep quack, raise the min pressure.
