Re: Resmed ResScan Smart Card Readers for cpap S8 on ebay
If anyone needs an S8 card reader, the seller in Israel has 10 of them listed on ebay for $56 plus $3.50 shipping. I bought one from this seller a while back and the reader was delivered as advertised. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Resmed-ResScan-Smart-Card-Reader-cpap-S8-and-S8-II-/260942634350?pt=LH_De...

ClimateLine hose on ebay
I just bought a new ClimateLine hose on ebay for $19.45 with free shipping. There were four listed for auction and it appears only two were sold. I figure the other two will probably be re-listed, so you might check it out if you are in the market for a ClimateLine hose.

Re: ReScan File Backup
I created an "Autoset Backup" folder on my desktop. Each time I download info into ResScan, I also copy the ResMed SD card contents into the "Autoset Backup" folder. Then, I also occasionally copy the contents of the "Autoset Backup" folder onto a different SD just so I have the info separate from m...

Re: Vision changed drastically after starting C-PAP
I read that xPAP can raise ocular pressure, which could change the geometry of your eyes, therefore the ability to focus and I suppose worsen glaucoma (higher ocular pressure is loosely correlated to glaucoma, probably makes it worse). I'm a glaucoma suspect (before APAP) and thus I too should go s...

Re: Mouth breather's experience using a mouthpiece
I check at Amazon although I don't know if I will be allowed to buy it (some products are not shipped to Canada as usual), I saw there is a lot of different mouth pieces, could you please lest us know which one exactly you bought? Thanks again. Rosie This is the one I am presently using: http://www...

Re: Dental device to prevent bruxism and hold jaw forward...
Can anyone recommend a mouthpiece that prevents bruxism, while holding the jaw in a forward position? Having my jaw pulled back all night by a chinstrap or a FFM is becoming quite the pain, one that is too strong for conventional painkillers! Take a look here: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i...

Re: Mouth breather's experience using a mouthpiece
I have been using something like that to prevent bruxism, but, alas, it didn't stop mouth leaking--had hoped it would, but taping is still the only solution for me. Definitely worth trying, though. Most boil & bite mouthpieces have a open slot in front to allow breathing. When doing the molding pro...

Re: Auto Cpap better for sensitive users?
I personally was prescribed an auto machine but found that the changes in pressure disrupted my sleep too much. I switched to straight cpap and do much better on that. I can't comment on ASV or Bipap though. Casey Same here. I paid $300 out of pocket to upgrade to an S9 Auto from a straight S9 cpap...

Mouth breather's experience using a mouthpiece
FWIW - I have a severe mouth breathing problem. I struggled for over a year, trying every combination of machines, pressures, masks, chinstraps and tape in an effort to get my AHI to a reasonable level. I was so frustrated that I actually quit CPAP therapy for a two month period, but then realized t...
