How do I sell my resmed S9 autoset?

Post by BBE » Thu Feb 09, 2012 1:13 pm

Hopefully not breaking any rules here. How do I go about selling my very very VERY gently used resmed S9?

I purchased it brand new, and yes, I fully own the unit. It was only used for 3 nights, so less than 50 hours are on the machine. Has the humidifier, carrying case, everything.

Me and my dr. agree to take a different approach to my problem, that is why I am no longer in need of it.

I know ebay is a no go these days, don't know where else I would sell it, craigslist maybe?

Thanks guys!

http://www.secondwindcpap.com/ buy used CPAPs

Although if your problem is OSA i would recommend keeping hold of it in case your doctors other approach doesnt work out.

I agree with Uncle Bob to hang on to your CPAP in case the other method doesn't work out. The only way you'll know if it did is with another sleep test and if it doesn't work out you still have your CPAP machine.

Private message me. I would be very interested in purchasing it since my husband just lost his insurance and needs an apap.

Why not save a lot of msgs back and forth by stating the price you are asking here?

He must be asking an unreasonable amount or it would have been sold already. There have been 4 messages indicating an interest. These S9s usually sell fast if they are priced right.

What would be a reasonable price--about 1500 hours, non-smoking?

I had the humidifier malfunction so took it in and everything was replaced under warranty. I never used it since then because I lost enough weight that OSA is no longer an issue for me at this time. So basically a new machine aside from the masks and connective tubing. I am not sure how to sell it or what is even reasonable. I know they go for about 800 as cheap as I can find online. I would entertain offers of far less if anyone still needs the machine. Please let me know?
Comment,

You need to name and specify accurately and not sloppily, i.e. what is a "removable humidifier"? Also, what is "everything" here: I had the humidifier malfunction so took it in and everything was replaced under warranty.

You are right, of course. I am not on here a lot; just found this site. I was actually just doing a search to try and figure out how I could sell my CPAP. Let me be a little more specific about my set up. By removable humidifier I mean that you can use the CPAP without the humidifier attached. They pieces are separate. Also, when I took the machine in to the company, it was originally believed to be just a humidifier issue, but once they brought the new humidifier out and tested it, it still did not work, so they brought out a new CPAP and then it worked fine. So the humidifier and the CPAP are brand new. I am not very technical so I hope I got the wording right on the specifics this time. I apologize for any confusion.

Btw, I hope you're not assuming you no longer need Cpap just because you lost weight, not unless you've had another study done... a lot of people have gotten caught that way... but just losing does not automatically mean you're free... don't cheat yourself without being professionally documented!
