The F&P icon is a decent machine, IMO. When I get the SW, I'll have better insight. Until then I have to go off of what info I have.
While it seems that there may be some inaccuracies, I find it hard to believe that the data is wrong (else it would be wrong when read by the SW.

Re: Nasal Pillows and AHI
So last night I used the same pillows and AHI was 5.7. A little high, but according to the display on the machine, Im usually around 5. Will keep tracking it... But it leads me to another question - can one have bad nights where despite a functioning, sealed CPAP, the still have apnea events? If thi...

Another take on dependency, difficulty breathing
Hi again, Im new to CPAP, but have been trying to see how my response to the airflow has been changing since I started. My first night, I couldnt stand the pressure coming out at 8cm. Used the ramp function. Nights after, got a bit more comfortable with it. Recently, Ive gotten to the point where us...

Nasal Pillows and AHI
Hi, I have an F&P Icon Premo and Resmed liberty mirage mask. Been using since Thanksgiving at prescribed setting of 8. I guess I am lucky, as I cant say I've had a bad night. I have indeed woken up easier since treatment, though my body is willing to stay asleep for hours more. Since being diagnosed...

Re: CPAP Dependancy
Welcome JHZR2, I think you will find there are many non obese sleep apnea sufferers. I myself lost 115 lbs and it made no difference to my sleep apnea. It is not as 'weight related' as you seem to want to believe. It is in some cases and maybe you will be one....I hope so since you really want this...

Re: CPAP Dependancy
Im new to CPAP, and think Im a good deal younger than many on here, but I look at CPAP differently. I AM scared of dependency, of the impracticality of the machine, etc. I realize that to some extent in my situation, anatomy may have something to do with it. That said, I am looking at CPAP as a tool...

Re: Hotel stays & CPAP - what to do with Darth Vader when away..
... Thus the use of a do not disturb sign. If they come in anyway, there is a greater problem than just a dirty toothbrush (though that is a nasty side-effect!). I cant say Ive ever had indication of them coming in, but Ive seen them doing their job in other rooms. These people, who generally cannot...

Re: Hotel stays & CPAP - what to do with Darth Vader when away..
I travel about 3 months a year by ship plane and car. I always carry a surge protector, a 12 foot extension cord and a two prong to three prong adapter. I also call ahead to see if distilled water is available. Cruise ships provide distilled water and extension cords as needed. Most hotels usually ...

New User With a Few ???'s
Hi, New user here. I have a CPAP machine (F&P Icon Premo), and resmed liberty (mouth with nasal pillows). I've done a lot of searching and reading, but have a few questions that I didn't really find answers for... Background first. Was in top shape, now am somewhat overweight. Even when teenager and...
