Re: SleepyHead 0.8.8 "Almost Beta" Release

Mark, I finally figured it out! I deleted the sleepapp folder and deleted the offending file from the test at the DME, which was the the first file that was conflicting with the last file from the previous CPAP machine. One thing that I did notice though, when I import a new day of info, I have to d...

Re: SleepyHead 0.8.8 "Almost Beta" Release

The DME gave me a new machine today. So tomorrow when I d/l the info onto my laptop. Is there a way to continue with the data? The new machine will start from scratch. 0 days used, 0 AHI etc. Do I create a new user? Nope.. Just import as normal. Each day in SleepyHead allows for a different machine...

Re: Night sweats - part 2

I used to have night sweats. Mostly related to serious lung issues. I have ILD and when it was active I would wake up soaked and had to change clothes. I agree that Diabetes also can cause night sweats. But that comes with a bunch of other symptoms. Night sweats can also be harmless. As I recall, Pn...

Re: My CPAP Story

Archangle, I just got back from dropping off the printout at the Drs office. The receptionist actually said to me that the DME usually sends them the printout. I informed her that I had already spoke to the PA and let her know that I was concerned about the waveform that I saw. She asked me a few qu...

Re: Anyone using Provigil or Nuvigil?

Initially, before the Sleep Apnea DX. My PCP recommended Provigil as a "pick me up" for the fatigue/sleepiness issues. I refused saying that it was just a band-aid that didn't address my issues.

It might be useful for those days that the CPAP doesn't work effectively to control my Apneas.

Re: My CPAP Story

The DME changed my CPAP machine to a fulltime Auto CPAP per my Dr. this morning, it was one that was Auto for the first 30 days only. We are now dealing with the Periodic Breathing issues. Unfortunately, my Pulmonologist is scheduled to work in the Hospital all this week so I'll be dealing with the...

Re: My CPAP Story

I'm sorry for bumping this to the top. I'm just looking for someone to tell me whether or not I should talk to my Pulmonologist about this Periodic Breathing pattern that when on for 22 or so minutes. Has anyone experienced this? I would! They are all centrals so there is nothing the cpap can do fo...

Re: Higher Leak, Lower AHI?

In my case, I've noticed is if the pressure is too high I get leaks and my apneas increase. Perhaps, the regular pressure is a little low for your Husband and when the leaks occur the pressure goes up and apnea decrease. I think that both issues are possible based on what I've learned. It all depend...

Re: Cheyne Stoke Events

Last night I had 22 events in 22 minutes. I took off my mask for several hours when the bridge of my nose started to hurt. When I woke up I put the mask pack on and the events started up. It also conincided with multiple sessions of Periodic Breathing during the 22 minutes. http://i1123.photobucket....

Re: AHI/Hr on SleepyHead Reports

The Clusters seem to be the events that bother me the most. I will usually suddenly wake up with a massive headache. Later, after I look at the data I realize that when I woke up I had just gone through a Cluster events over a very short period of time, like 12 events over 6-7 minutes. Now, I take a...

Re: Cheyne Stoke Events

Lizistired, I think that I've resigned my self to the fact that a CPAP can just deal with Apneas and that's a good thing. Now I just need to talk to my Pulmonologist and see if o2 at night is a good option. I don't want to wait until I get worse to make that decision. For now, my Pulmonary Fibrosis ...

Re: What's the usual sleeping position for CPAP users?

I'm a sidewinder. By that, I mean that I go from one side to another side until I windup on the perfect side. It's was and continues to be a rare event for me to end up on my back. But it does happen. GERD is the reason that I avoid my back.
