Re: Need Input (updated last nights chart)

Last night I used the knit cap to protect my hair. After wetting it and stretching it out it covered my head perfectly and I made a tie to hold it in place. It took me a while to get to sleep as all of a sudden the flow of air has gotten noisy and the air blows directly into my nose in this total fa...

OT: Weekend Storms

Here's hoping that no one is in the way of the horrid weather happening this weekend. If you are in one of the areas, please be safe! Here in my nice "no-weather" area we had snow today. Didn't stick, but was totally unexpected. I figure this was the system that is driving the bad weather in other a...

Re: CPAP NOT working...Need Advice on Nuvigil

I take Ritalin for same purposes. Was told I would climb the walls the first 5 or so days, but never did. It helped me feel like a human again. I lost a new job because I went into narcolpsey - scary stuff. No side effects except that it has helped decrease my hunger and I've been able to lose weigh...

Re: Need Input

LOL what a pretty picture. I tried last month using a cut up t-shirt but the cut frayed edges kept tickling my face and I kept wanting to scratch or push them away (can't do that with a total face mask on). I finally eneded up pulling it out and throwing it away that same night. I will try this and ...

Re: Need Input

Robysue thanks for your long post. I do have a portable swamp cooler that I can put ice cubes in but it has to be refilled every 4 hours and actually is a huge pain in the you know what and is why I got the small room air cond. Also, I have no room in my bedroom to put it much less an outlet to plug...

Re: Need Input

I do therapy and have for quite some time. My whole life has been nothing but trauma with no time to grieve anything. So grieving this is nothing compared to what I've had to deal with in the past. To get my life back I don't care if I have to be hooked up to a machine. But I do care if everynight i...

Re: Need Input

I will also look this up. depends on what they cost. I start every month about $200 in the hole - makes life interesting. A silk scarf would be way to slippery for me to keep everything in place, and protect my hair. I use a PapCap, which is 100% cotton. You can use it just as a skull cap or with th...

Re: Need Input

Wig store is not an option. I live in a town that is somewhat removed from everything. I have knit caps but don't you think that would be hot? Hot is starting to be an issue here. Starting in July we have monsoon season and they say this year is supposed to be bad - so that means heat and humidity. ...

Re: Need Input

Oh Beth, I wish I could, but my bedroom window when it's open is more vertical and the living room window is horizontal. Plus I have no one to help me. Also, my bedroom even though my house is just one story, is over my basement and is isn't on ground level. No way I could do that or fix something t...

Re: Need Input

This will be my first summer. As far as resolving this to my liking, I can't - money is a real problem. I do have a window unit in the living room, but that means I have to move both my BiPap and Oxygen Concentrator into the living room area, open up the sofa bed and it's just a freaking problem. I ...

Re: New member and my suspicions about OSA

Welcome and good luck. I was was put on an oxygen concentrator prior to having my test done as my oxygen levels were also falling to 68% . The concentrator brought my levels up and I now have oxygen fed into my BiPAP. Hi. I am a new member here and have been lurking for quite a bit trying to do rese...

Re: Complaints about Lincare

I don't know if Hometown Oxygen is just a local/state company or not, but I can say they have been there for me everytime I've had problems. I could not ask for better service. Way beyond what most companies give today. Maybe I'm just lucky with the person I deal with. She is fabulous. I completely ...

Need Input (updated last nights chart)

Hi all, Happy to report that last night I had one of my best nights numbers wise. AHI of 1.18 and when looking at the report, most of the activity was during the first hour when I was awake and fighting discomfot. After that hour my report only shows 1 Hypopena, 1 Obstructive, 1 Central and 5 Flow L...
