Re: Oh my nose!

The Innomed/Respcare Hybrid...nothing at all over the nose because it uses a combination nasal pillows and over the mouth coverage. ResMed has a similar mask called the Liberty. Since I wish I could use a nasal mask, maybe this would be the answer for me. Am currently using that Total Face Mask. I'...

Re: HELP! What am I doing wrong?

I didn't take the mask off, but I did take the hose off the mask. I could go take the nerve test but it would have to be done in his office in another city. The cost would be too much for me to deal with right now. And, then I have to wonder, would he be able to do anything about it except tell me w...

Re: Neverending saga: In Search for THE mask

I am using the FitLife Total Face Mask and have been for several months and so far it is the mask for me. I'm a huge mouth breather and with my high pressures the nasal mask doesn't work (wish it did). The full face mask left me with a bruised nose and pain that would by mid day end up being a horri...

Re: HELP! What am I doing wrong?

-tim, I have just finished being checked for just about everything. No heart problems, no lung problems, I've had my brain MRIed 3 times, arteries checked and no blockages. Neurologist said that I had a mild stroke years ago. I had no idea and fortunately don't have any residual damage from it that ...

Re: HELP! What am I doing wrong?

[quote="Pugsy"] If you were awake and struggling with pain then for sure the first 30 minutes of that massive cluster were scored while you were out of bed and I bet the second half of that hour you were likely awake or semi awake and maybe in bed but awake with the pain. I forget I should be keepin...

Re: vivid dreams

Prior to BiPap I dreamt a lot and remembered my dreams. Actually my dreams were better than my real life. LOL Once on BiPap, I stopped remembering my dreams and just started up again this past week and these dreams are very vivid and weird. Wondering where my good dreams went to.

Re: "Invalid SD card, erase card data?"

This morning when I put my card into the computer my computer said the card needed to be formatted before using. I took the card out and went back to my BiPap, put the card in, turned the machine on a few seconds, turned it off, brought card back to the computer and it read it. Go figure. I got a sc...

Re: HELP! What am I doing wrong?

VERY LONG REPLY: The two things that catch my eye about this night's data are: 1) Even though max IPAP = 25, the pressure doens't go anywhere near that high. You top out at 21/19. Yes, I noticed that my IPAP hasn't gone up to the 25 and wondered about that. My original sleep study says that they sta...

Re: HELP! What am I doing wrong?

I postponed my tritation at the hospital until May 28th It's like I could go in for it and have a good night and them say, everything is going good. And then again, I could have an awful night and they could make drastic changes to everything. Maybe that is what I need, but do I trust them to know w...

HELP! What am I doing wrong?

and here I thought for a bit that I was getting things under control. For a while I haven't been aware of dreaming but the past several days I have had vivid dreams and I know that in my original sleep study, they never were able to get myh apneas under control during REM. They pretty much guessed a...

Re: Cpap Masks...driving me crazy!

My vertigo was diagnosed as positional vertigo as when I moved my head certain ways, or leaned over, the whole world seemed to spin. It was really bad and I had it for months and months. i recently started having some good days re AHI and noticed that no longer was I having the vertigo. Is or was it...

Re: I am ashamed of my cpap?

and actually you don't need to tell anyone unless it really gets serious. The other side is that as you get to feeling better you will also become more attractive (feeling better and having more energy). I'm 72 and am not crazy about mine either, but I do want a decent life for whatever I have left....

Re: I am ashamed of my cpap?

I really do hear what you are saying and what I'm going to suggest isn't really going to change anything, except try to make it more fun for you. Why not decorate it? you most probably could put decals on it. That won't really change anyhing but might make it seem more friendly right now while you g...

Re: Treatment of RLS with Gabapentin (Neurontin)

Maybe I'm missing something here, but which one of those is the Gabapentin? Both my PA and neurologist Rx 1 cap (300mg) of Gabapentin for discomfort and pain during sleep in hopes of settling me down so I'd stop waking up all night. Was told this is a very mild dose. It seemed to work for me but I d...

Re: Considering "the works" surgery and would love advice

I had the septoplasty (sp?) and turbinate reduction. One nostril was blocked 70% and the other cose to 30%, so that took away half of my breathing capability. I went in for surgery at 9am and was home around 3pm. Uncomfortable recovery but not awful. I healed pretty quickly but it did take a week be...
