The Fisher Paykel FlexiFit431 worked best for me and seemed longer then the ResMed Ultra Mirage Full Face. I have not tried the Respironics Full Face, so I can't comment on that one. I had been told those three vendors pretty much were the only ones with full face options. However, I stumbled across...

Respironics moving the software to a password protected site and claiming that it's available for vendors/DMEs tells me several things: 1. They probably really didn't intend for us to download the software free of charge. After all from what I've read, the Encore Pro software is really designed for ...

Welcome aboard Rosenkavalier! I think you are definitely on the right track joining this forum and reading what material you can to better understand your condition. In the area I live, most OSA-related staff from the doctor, sleep lab and DME all seemed so shocked that I'm interested not only in my...

To answer a few questions: Derek is a member of this forum and developed MyEncore as a solution to desires of many on this forum (including himself) to better display the data collected by the REMstar machines. I have been reading alot about the MyEncore software and I'd like to take the opportunity...

I have another quick question. Two of the main EncorePro software sites - http://cpaptalk.com/myencore.php and - http://lewiston.mit.edu/myencore/ both sites mention the latest software version as 1.04. However, a link I found on this forum archive that still works says MyEncore designed to work wit...

NightHawkeye, I appreciate you taking the time to sift through my message and put me on the right track. I did several searches on the Respironics Web site for version 1.5 software. Likewise, I searched the forum archive which pointed to: http://software.respironics.com/cgi-bin/SoftwareUpdates.cgi?p...

Therapy Monitoring Software (Respironics/Encore) Questions
Hello all, I didn't realize the number of "hoseheads " that were actively monitoring their own xPAP treatments until I joined this forum. I have been skimming through posts and paying special attention to the software mentioned at the bottom of each signature area. You guys have me very motivated to...

CraigC, The exact question you are posing today is what I asked back in 1999 when I was first diagnosed. I started with a nose-only mask that had comfy gel, but because of mouth breathing I needed the full-face. I was given a Mirage S2 Series Full Face which was VERY disappointing in the day because...

I used the FP431 last night and I started by reducing the tension on the top straps by nearly 1/2 of where I had them previously. I was certain the leaks would be abundant, but to my surprise, it felt very comfy and I had no leaks. Next, I did the exact same thing with the bottom adjustment straps. ...

WA Flowers, I also experience CSAs (Central Sleep Apneas) at higher pressures. During my original sleep study (this last round) they started with my old 1999 setting of 8 cm H2O which I knew didn't work as my wife reported snoring while using the CPAP equipment. Long story short, I was out of compli...

Since I can't tolerate a chin strap, the FP FF is an excellent option as it tends to extend lower then the ResMed UM FF and it actually covers the bottom of your chin in case you like keeping your mouth closed to breathe through the nose. However, it's nice to have the mouth breathing option as well...

I'm using the same FP 431 FF (well my own that is ) and I haven't really experienced too many problems with leaks. However, I have certainly over tightened my straps enough to make a tender spot near the top of my nose. My pressure setting is 16 iPAP so high airflow shouldn't really be an issue for ...

Linda3032, Thanks for the advice for the full face mask. I will swing by the pharmacy and give this a try. I managed 6.5 hours last night with the Swift Nasal Pillows, but I still miss the FF a bit. I'll probably switch back over to the FP 431 FF tonight. I need to order the card reader for myself t...

Hmmm ... I had listed I had the Encore Pro Software/Smartcard with USB connector because that is what my HME is using to track compliance for my insurance company. I had no idea I could purchase (for < $200 according to the post at the top when I clicked the equipment link) my own USB based reader. ...
