Since we're intent on dispensing life lessons in this thread, I'll add that it's best not to attribute motives to another's actions. The actions simply stand on their own. Sure, malice, dishonesty, incompetence, stupidity and disrespect could be present in varying degrees, but then again circumstanc...

Yep, sounds like aerophagia, all right. It rarely resolves by itself. The only two solutions which can offer immediate relief are APAP therapy and Bi-level (BiPAP) therapy. My recommendation to you is to contact your physician's office as soon as possible and let them know the pain you are in and th...

Yeah, it's called bradycardia. Around 40 bpm is considered the limit below which it becomes a concern. My N-395 oximeter alarms whenever my rate goes below 40 bpm, at least that was the default rate. Sometimes physicians even consider it "healthy" to have a low heart rate. (Athletes often do!) Basic...

Here's a chart showing the past couple of night's data I'll add into the mix here. http://home.mchsi.com/~anon53/May2208Expanded.JPG This data is much better (i.e., tranquil nights) than most nights. What seems to make the difference is that I got significant physical exertion both afternoons, playi...

The most noticeable difference last night was that it was a lot harder to keep my mouth closed. I found that my cheeks would suddenly fill with air occasionally and I'd end up having to swallow it because I'd taped my mouth closed. However, at around 5am this morning I removed the damp tape and sta...

I tried CPAP at 14cm last night with EPR of 3. Below are the results: AI: 6.3 HI: 15.8 AHI: 22.1 Very interesting data, Gary. A most interesting aspect of it is that your chart pressure is not the same value as your stated pressure. Your chart indicates that the pressure the machine used for you wa...

Comfort related, Bill? Oh, please, don't tell me that. It's not going to be more comfortable with the difference in inhale and exhale? Better prepare me now. It's just one thing after another, it seems. Peggy I'm sorry, Peggy. You seemed sad about switching from the PB420E. I just wanted to let you...

Re: Cell Phone Signal Booster
Have you had any success with a cheap antenna booster? If so please let me know what you used. They don't work, Rooster. The antennas have already been optimized. Having said that however, it needs to be stated that optimization occurred for the "average" person. Therefore it is entirely possible t...

BTW, last two nights, I had hardly any events, period, absolutely no centrals, so I think I might have finally found my "sweet spot". Not holding my breath yet, of course, and looks like I'm moving to a new machine, so the game starts all over again, I guess. You can always come back to the PB420E,...

Hi bobby_tee, Congratulations on getting the prescription in hand. You've already gotten past the place where lots of folks have problems. You've may already have a preferred machine, but I'd like to strongly recommend you get one which records your events and is compatible with software which you m...
