Re: OT - help with sticky situation at work
I had a boss once that probably had ADHD and just could not understand that everybody didn't work as hard as he and as long hours as he. After some serious talks, we got him to understand that we where normal and he was overactive. That's not ADHD. Actually that is at trait called hyper focus. I ha...

Re: Finally removing the modem!
I had the modem in my machine for 6 months. The funny part when the guy came out to the house, I had already pulled the modem and had it waiting. He dropped of the cover and a brand new data card. Now I have an extra card. Actually it did not bother me to much. As I actually use my machine. I know p...

Re: Quattro FFM Swivel Is Popping Off Mask!!
When I was using a Quattro FFM I have never had that problem, it might be that the little plastic snaps that hold it in place are getting weak. Might be time for a new mask frame. I would replace mine about every 4 months or so. I have seen the swivels on eBay as getting a new on might take care of ...

Re: FX /Swift FX her difference?/ upcoming surgery
Well the past two nights with the Pilairo have not been too bad. Actually I overslept this morning, something I have not done in a while. Going to keep it up as I only 20 days to go before surgery.

Re: FX /Swift FX her difference?/ upcoming surgery
Just got back from the refit appointment -
I got a Pillaro! They just got then in about a month ago, my favorite RT, and fellow CPAPer has one as well and loves it, so I decided to give it a try. I will be interested to see if the Pillaro can convert me to a nasal pillow mask from my FFM.

Re: The Cat attacked my hose
We have a similar problem with the O2 hose that runs from the concentrator in the hall to my wife's cpap. The 2 kittens we have like to chew on that hose. A couple of nights ago, they chewed right through it. I work up to a loud hissing noise in the hall and had to find a replacement hose and get it...

Re: Quattro FX full face mask - silicone cushion question
Depends - on a lot of factors:
How oily is you skin?
Do you use a mask liner?
How often do you clean them
My insurance will replace them monthly, however I get two to three months use, so after I hit my out of pocket maximum I stockpile them.

Re: FX /Swift FX her difference?/ upcoming surgery
I set an appointment with my RT on Tuesday to try some masks out. I am going to try to get my hose management worked out using my wifes old swift fx, the back strap works, but it is a little short. I got a big head - I wear and 17"1/2 neck size shirt. what I would love to do is buy a large pillow fo...

What is the difference between the FX and FX for her? Is is just the color of the straps Backstory: I am having a cervical fusion at the end of the month and may need to find a new mask solution as by Mirage Quattro and Padacheek liner. I spoke with my nurse yesterday and she told me that my headgea...

Re: OT: Fenofibrate seemed to make my sleep quality worse
I have been on fenofibrate (Tricor) Lipitor and Lovaza for about 2 years now. The first year was pre cpap and I do not feel tired now. The main issue I have had with the fenofibrate has been with my bowels, that stuff can lock up up good and tight if you are not careful.

Re: Cervical spine issues and Apnea
Thanks Allen, Actually - I have two appointments scheduled, one is the referral that my family doc made for me with an orthopedic spine specialist and one with the neurosurgeon that did my wife's L5-S1 surgery. I am ready to go to surgery tomorrow as it is getting worse each day. I have been through...
