Re: WOW...Now Amazon

I still can't figure out why we need a prescription for a machine to blow air or a mask. I think they should be able to sell them in drug stores. The prices would go way down then.

Re: Not sure if this is a taboo topic around here but..

My husbands aunt is 92 and has asthma. When she was younger they sold asthma cigarettes and she said they helped her. She said she only had to take a puff or two then put it out until she needed it again. It was nothing but weed.

Re: New stuff....

Hospitals are not as clean as they should be. Take some Clorox or Lysol wipes. If you can't use them have a family member wipe light switches door nobs bed rails and everything in the room someone might touch. I always did this for my mother and my daughter did this for me. My brother was recently i...

Re: Storms Power Outages

Thank you-you cute little devil. That is good to know. I get scared to try to sleep with no machine or oxygen. I can get my son to get this set up for me. I am supposed to go to the top of the repair lift for outages but who knows if that will really help?

Re: Pugsy's gone again...

I had tried to get my electric back on because of a medical need and they told me to go somewhere that had electric on. My doctor told me to request a form for medical reasons and I got a lecture but I still got the form for my doctor to sign. So far I haven't had to test it.

Re: OT Liquid Oxygen

I tried to purchase the one I have and they said that they couldn't sell it. I can't afford to buy a portable one. I have spent hours searching the web. I can't find anyone that has them that takes my insurance. Believe me, I have tried. That is how I ran into the idea of liquid oxygen.

Re: OT Liquid Oxygen

Thank you so much for the information. I think this will be my next best option for when I have to turn in my little machine. Maybe the switch won't be so bad after all. I was dreading it so much. Now I am not afraid anymore.

Re: OT Liquid Oxygen

We have electrical problems here. I think our lines are just old and the electric takes a little time out several times a week.

Re: OT Liquid Oxygen

When I first started using oxygen I had the tanks and they were so much trouble that I just never left the house for about 4 months or more. I was so thrilled when I got my little portable machine because I wasn't tied to my home. Now my DME is going out of business and no one else will provide a po...

Re: OT Liquid Oxygen

I read that the liquid tanks are lighter and not heavier and that the oxygen lasts longer. I have googled and I can't find out wher=ther I can get that or not. I can call tomorrow but I would like some personal advice if I can find someone that has had experience with it. I would be afraid to try to...

OT Liquid Oxygen

Does anyone know anything about liquid oxygen use? I am losing my little portable machine because my supplier is going out of business and no one else here provides them. Neither my husband or I can handle the oxygen tanks and I have to walk with a walker. DH is going to have more surgery on his leg...

They do look to be very comfy. I just wish thy made better ways to fasten their masks, like better clips or magnets.

Re: New user, mask choice difficulty

I thought I would never find THE mask. I did find some that would work fairly well but I still swap out from time to time. I can't imagine having only one mask night after night. There were times that I thought I found the one and then woke up ready to throw it at the wall. I have several in my draw...
