S9 autoset machine. How old?

Post by latinlover » Mon Feb 20, 2012 10:45 pm

Perhaps someone could help me and let me know if a machine that shows a sw sx474-0602 a very old or outdated machine? The fellow who is selling it is telling me that it is a machine he purchased just 3 months ago and has less than 50 hours of use. Additionally the service screen shot he sent me only shows the sw number on the service screen, no other info. Is that normal? My service screen many more items
Thanks

That's the same as both machines I had/have. I got the first in Aug 2010 and the second in June 2011. None of the S9s are very old. They first came out only 2 years ago.

He could also send you a shot of the machine hours.

It is possible to see number of hours blower has run. Look for that.

I've seen two Autosets coming from ResMed at the same time with remarkably similar serial numbers have different firmware versions. My assumption is that there are different manufacturers used for some of the boards within the units and that the two different firmware number sequences are selected based on the internal hardware.

In other words most recent date of manufacturing does not always mean highest firmware number.
