Re: Amusing call from DME
Its nice to see y'all have DMEs that return your calls. Even if they are doing it to be a jack ass.

Re: OT: Vicodin and Kidney Stones
Looks like you're managing it but I'll be redundant. The best way to work with Vicodin is to not let them wear off. I am not recommending this of course because your Dr gave you instructions on how to safely take the medication but, when Hubby had a 4mm stuck at the base of one kidney, he was taking...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.
Its been a bit over two months for me, and a bit of a struggle to get my mask fitting properly. Getting help from my DME is near impossible. I was one of the ones that had a honeymoon period so it was a little disappointing when the honeymoon was over. Sometimes I have to remind myself of what it wa...

Re: Travelin' CPAP - Fleabag motels and the boatride of shame
The cheese reminds me of the first time hubby and I flew after the new 2oz of liquid regulations started. Hubby brought a 4oz bottle of astro glide, he thought it should go through since it was less than half full. The tsa guy had a sense of humor and decided to show it by holding the bottle up to h...

Re: I am still tired all the time.
Ive been at this about two months. I'm still tired every day too but, Ive noticed its a different kind of tired. Its a functional tired. I now choose to sleep instead of discovering my forehead has hit my keyboard. I am functional on Mondays now and last weekend, after a horrible night of sleep, I w...

Re: Why is it necessary to have a support team?
From what I can tell, compliance in the general population is less than 50%. It seems everyone you talk to says they have a machine but don't use it. Is it any wonder when they hand you the same equipment they've handed everyone else and send you out the door? The nurse I saw kept reiterating how im...

Re: Leak question
oops sorry typo. RobYsue Edited to add: Just couldn't do the nasal mask. I am comfortable with a full face mask and consciously tell myself to breath through my nose but for the first 10-20 minutes in, my sinuses are still swollen due to allergies and breathing through my nose just doesn't provide e...

Re: New to all this
Chunkyfrog, I think you just told my story! 1) Ive been to the office 3 times so far and I dont think the Dr. was in the office at the time. Im disappointed with my sleep center so that doesnt say much. 2) Ambien 3) For my first sleep study I was in a narrow hospital bed. I think that bed would have...

Re: Leak question
Thank you Robsue! Answers like these are one of the reasons I never would have made it without this forum. As time passes I think less and less of the office that handed me a mask and machine and told me to be sure to use it every day. I really don't see how people can possibly make this work withou...

Leak question
I'm sorry if this is a repeat question. I did a search and didn't see it answered. My leak numbers say Median: 3.6, 95th% 13.8 and Maximum 154.2 What do these numbers mean? I know I have some leak issues which feel like they've improved immensely since working on fit but the numbers only show real i...

Re: air blowing on wife from vent
I actually use it to my advantage. My vent blows upward from the top of the mask. If my husband is snoring, I point the vent at him and he rolls over.

Re: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly---one year later
it has been so long since I've felt frisky. And that's a significant part of my problem I would be willing to bet this is unrelated to OSA. Its much more likely to be either a side effect of one of you medications or a hormonal imbalance. See your GP and if they cant help, see your GYN. Another str...
