Re: Just diagnosed, living overseas, what to expect
If you are in the moderate level with 16 events, you're just into the moderate category--on the cusp of mild/moderate. Like me...I had 17 events per hour. My O2 dropped to 76, but your 84 is low, too. I am sorry it will take 2 months before titration can happen. That is a long time to wait. Are you ...

What part of 'that's how the CO2 escapes' didn't you understand? If you wish to have deadly CO2 build up in your body/brain....by all means, cover it up.

Re: Low Vitamin D level appears to cause sleep apnea
Wow.... in today's VitaminDCouncil's newsletter, it is announced that Rx D3 is now available in the USA. If your doctor wants to Rx D for you, be sure it is D3! http://us2.campaign-archive1.com/?u=f545cba30e1f9697fddbe8acb&id=b6d7cf147f&e=f9d150751c Bio-Tech 50,000 IU D3 now available for prescripti...

Re: Low Vitamin D level appears to cause sleep apnea
@Passiflora -- remember that the 'normal range' is considered 30-100 by labs/doctors, but the recommended 'optimal' range based on the latest research is 50-80. Also if you are in the US, the 50,000 IU's by Rx is usually D2, but I am glad you are taking D3 daily now. Just get it rechecked every 3 or...

A magnesium deficiency is also associated with muscle cramps. Magnesium is hard to test for... the blood tests are highly unreliable, but most humans are deficient in magnesium so it would not hurt to supplement this important mineral. Mag pills are difficult to absorb.... but there is a liquid, tra...

Re: Facebook Etiquette and CPAP
An online friend, who I don't know in real life... only online in professional dealings, posted on her FB page several months ago that she was going in for a sleep study. I felt compelled to send her a private message via FB to offer my support and gave her links to this forum as well as a few other...

Re: Sleeping more but feeling more tired
Yep... looks good for last night! Sleep debt is generally considered the condition of 'catching up' on all the sleep you missed or did poorly before you were diagnosed and on the machine. For some, they don't seem to have any debt, but for many it takes days, weeks, months to 'pay it back' and get c...

Re: Sleeping more but feeling more tired
First... why do you show Smart Link software when you have an ICON machine? Smart Link is for the Intellipap machine. Secondly, your AHI is not "good statistics" .... your AHI should be below 5 to be considered normal. I don't know what the acceptable leak is for your mask, but 33 doesn't seem abnor...

Re: Results of changing my husbands range..
You are moving in the right direction, but, boy.... those are still high numbers. I tend to think your hubby may need more help from the doctor.... it could be that he should be on a more sophisticated machine like a bipap (bi-level) machine. Trouble is that most insurance won't approve that until t...
