P10 mask and n30 head straps are they compatable.

Post by Cannuck 1 » Mon Jul 27, 2020 11:50 am

I was looking at masks and noticed the N30 has head strap very similar to the P10 head strap. The advantage would be adjustable head band that would fit a p10 mask,(perfect IMO) So who out there might of tried this combination? Is it possible?

Yes...it is compatible. I do believe we have a couple of threads talking about it but I don't have them handy.

I haven't tried it but others have. Since the P10 is only delegated to number 2 on my usage list...haven't bothered getting the N30 headgear.

p10 is a very comfortable mask. and i'm using the n30 with it currently. but the original head strap was a better fit for me.

while the n30 is adjustable, i had some trouble getting used to it. this is due in part to the fact that i also use scunci headbands to keep my lips from parting. so things sort of bunched up for me and had the devil of a time adjusting the p10 mask itself to my nose.

also, with the p10, i would toss the head strap into the washer, then in the dryer and it would shrink down some. but that doesn't work forever. it's why i ended up using th n30 strap.

that and dog slobber recommended it.

hope this helps.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Yes, used the combo just fine.

I prefer the N30 strap on the P10 because when the traditional P10 straps stretch out, you can snug them up instead of washing them. Preferable at 2:00AM when your cushions start to leak.

Yup, I use both, I will use the n30 strap for a bit and then switch them out and use the p10 strap. Don't ask me why, its just me  .

Cheers
Nan

Excellent Photo, does the N30 head cradle strap fit a large head size and does it still have the elastic band characteristics that I like??
Thanks! N30 head strap Part # 64216

Yes, it *should* fit larger heads, sorry don't own a hat with a hat size for comparative purposes.

At full length it's longer than the P10 strap, and because of its adjustability, can be shortened to be smaller than the P10. It has the same split for minor adjustability as well and appears to be made of the same elastic material.

I just checked my invoice and the Part Number is 64216.

Does the clasp hold good on the adjustment for your setting, or does it slip a little.
Thanks again, you could have made this fellow quite happy and possibly a few others.

Yes, the clasp hold very well. Hasn't slipped.

However, like the P10 strap. The strap does stretch out and then shrinks back when washed. But that's why I prefer the N30 strap, you can adjust, instead of immediately washing it.

Thanks for the additional information, I think I'm going to order a few. This mask gives me hardly any issues and if I can tweak it a little for better comfort- why not !
