10 Year Anniversary! :)
I believe it was 10 years ago today that I first was diagnosed with sleep apnea, and only a month later that I was on CPAP, struggling with it, and found this forum. I can't verify the exact date as my forum search history won't go back past 2005, probably when the board underwent a redesign. I know most of you will have no clue who I am since I have barely posted in the last several years, but this great anniversary made me think of the wonderful people who were here to help me when I first posted asking for help, and who, when I followed their advice, were able to get me not just tolerating CPAP but enjoying every night. I'd never, ever sleep without it. My only regret is not stopping buying groceries and paying rent so I could have stockpiled more Aeiomed Headrest (or whatever the heck it was called most recently) masks while they were still around under 18 different names.
A serious thank you to all the forum old-timers (especially RG, of course) who pointed me in the right direction and pushed. Hope all of you (and all you newbies) are doing well!
PS - those of you who are still around from "the old days" will probably find it hilarious to note that Blarg and I have ended up living in the same city in Australia, of all places, and we hang out on the regular. I'm happily married now to a great guy who snored when I first met him... and who now wears his CPAP mask alongside me every night. Blarg is also happily partnered up as well, still happily chugging along with his CPAP as well, though he's had to change masks since he ran out of the Headrest!

That guy I was dating back in 2007 when I was still in college... well, we dated again about a year later and got more and more serious, and then his job transferred him to Australia. We broke up (that was a little TOO long distance) but he realized I was the best thing to happen to him, and as soon as he was eligible to bring me over to join him, he asked me to marry him and move to Australia to be with him. I said yes. Greatest adventure of my life!

Re: 10 Year Anniversary! :)
Thanks so much, Den. My old M-Series APAP just hit five years old, so it's going to be time for me to shop for a new machine soon. It'd be smart for me to hang around here and see what's new these days. Thanks for the kind message.Wulfman... wrote:Hi Ginny.
