Broken mask

Post by cflame1 » Wed Oct 28, 2015 5:29 am

I've been on my machine for years, just haven't been online here.

Friday night (long past business hours) I went to mask up only to discover that the valve on my mask... the rubber piece had decided to come out of where it's attached to the hard plastic. I'd been wondering why I had been more tired than normal, and the noise from my mask was louder than normal. Should have checked... but didn't (hindsight is 20/20). So it's Friday night and I'm digging around for a spare mask... found an old Swift. Knew I'd have to make due because the quickest I could get a replacement was Tuesday.

I've been so tired. Picked up my cpap.com package last night... thank you Johnny! If I'd had to go another day I probably wouldn't have been able to go to work today.

Moral of the story... if you find a mask that works for you keep a spare! Never know what parts you'll need and when.
