Ear problems

I'm hoping for some ideas. I've been on cpap therapy for almost a year. I use the s9 elite with nasal pillows. My pressure is a 6/4. I got some kind of a flu bug the end of January. I was complaining of dizziness and nausea. The primary doctor found fluid in my ears. He prescribed an antibiotic. The...

Knocking the machine off the night stand

Have any of you done this? I moved the night stand flush against my bed so the machine would not fall on the floor. This helps but lately the machine is close to falling onto the bed by morning. I didn't notice this until I got the hose snuggie which may be too comfortable because it is like a blank...

Re: swallowing air

Call your doctor. I had this problem and the doctor lowered the pressure. That took care of the bloat and my apnea is gone.

Hotel?

I'm a little worried about someone stealing my cpap when I go to a hotel. What do you all do with yours?

Re: Increased appetite after starting CPAP?

My appetite increased. I attributed it to swallowing some air which may not have anything to do w it. I tend to be hungrier when waking up and I never was before. It is weird though....

Re: As goes your weight so goes your pressure needs?

I doubt it. I'm considered obese and my pressure is only seven. I also get a kick out of wearing a size small mask since that is the only time I ever wear a size small.

Re: I am ashamed of my cpap?

Im fairly young and I was embarrassed at first and afraid my husband would not understand. He was very supportive. For him the mask is way sexier than my horrible snoring. I think it will get easier with time.

Cpap humor

A few weeks before I got my cpap I complained to my husband about feeling tired and lethargic. My husband said to me. "don't worry. You'll feel better once you get your pap smear". He was trying to comfort me but had no idea what he was saying. Cpaps and pap smears were equally foreign to him. He co...

Re: Melatonin

I use melatonin quite a bit. The sleep doc didn't say it was a problem. It helps me sleep through the night.

Re: Hurricane season

That's a good point to stock up on distilled water. The battery thing is confusing to me. Any ideas on what would work for my machine? I'm also going o invest in a surge protector because we have a lot of thunderstorms at night here in Florida.

Hurricane season

I live in Florida. I was wondering if there is anything extra I should do to prepare for hurricane season as a new cpap user. Thanks
