Re: Extra Long Hose??
Does anyone know if it would pose an issue to the pressure setting if I somehow connected two hoses together so I have a bit more slack with my hose at night? I constantly am yanking my unit almost to the point of falling off the night stand and part of the problem is my wife and I have a king size...

Re: sleepweaver mask
I clean it by soaking it in the sink using a mild detergent and then hang it to dry thoroughly, basically I treat it the same way one would for any hand laundry. It cleans very easily, and yeah, I think it cleans thoroughly, as thoroughly as any other mask I've had. I would suspect you could also ru...

Re: sleepweaver mask
These things are much more durable than you might believe. Its my mask of choice and I'm currently switching between two -- one going on 6 months old and one going on 3 months old -- the six month old one is still holding up extremely well, its attachment slots are all stretched out (actually both m...

Re: United Airlines and CPAP policies
While I agree with the statements made above it probably should be noted that most TSA regs, I believe, apply to domestic flights or flights originating in the United States. OP is asking about a flight originating in another country (Canada). Any of our northern neighbors care to weigh in regarding...

Re: Implications of turning machine off & continuing to sleep?
The only problem I can foresee is that it's going to be hard for him to call out to us at night if he has a problem without removing the mask, which we'd rather he not. Not impossible, just harder with air coming through. He could keep hitting the off button, obviously, and call out during the time...

He is 8-years-old, can build incredible Lego structures with the tiny little Legos and has excellent fine motor skills. Every morning he turns off the machine, detaches the hose from the mask, unclips the mask and removes the headgear and the chin strap in the exact fashion we've told him to do it ...

I'd urge you to give the SleepWeaver a try.
I have issues with most all of the silicon based masks, itching and such -- nice thing about the SleepWeaver -- you can scritch right through it.

Re: DME wants my data card. Not sure I believe them.
Most machines hold 365 days of data so no data will be lost. Umm, YES and NO. Yes they will hold 365 days of basic data, HOWEVER, many will only hold 7 days of detailed data. Best bet is to: a) back up the card b) physically take it to the DME and have them read it and return it (or replace it) imm...

Re: Does anyone check their CPAP when flying?
I have a separate travel machine so it may make a difference. I always carry outbound and check inbound (padded bag gets wrapped in clothes in middle of my suitcase). Most all of my travels are between my home city and one other and are almost always done on non-stops. Only risk I really have is inb...

Re: Las Vegas- forgot humidifier hose
Also remember, if you have a decent (or better) relationship with your home DME a quick call to them explaining your predicament and providing them the number of the local DME where you are at and asking if they will intervene on your behalf will sometimes work wonders to open doors (and get supplie...

Re: Travel
Depends upon airport and agent. My last flight I just set my bag on the belt, an agent asked "CPAP?" and I conformed and he reached for it and I asked him to change gloves to which he responded : "All I am going to do is unzip the bag and open the top, okay? We'll send it through that way. If there ...

It does not apply. Many states are effectively bankrupt but cannot be declared so, nor can they garner any of the protections provided for under the law.
