Hello all, just found this site and very impressed, it's good to finally have someplace to get advice and support from other people with sleep apnea. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea when I was 16 and had the surgery done(tonsells, adnoids soft pallet removal). This worked for years, but when I started driving a truck over the road a few years ago, I noticed that I was very tired during the day and it scared me to be on the road while being so sleepy. I had another test and found that my apnea had worsened. Now I use a cpap machine and I feel like a new person, it's amazing the difference it makes, I didn't realize just how tired I was getting during the day.

Surgery
I'm curious, did you have a repeat sleep study done after your surgery? Many people don't follow up because the snoring if still present is quieter and sounds different.
Always do a follow up study because there still may be arousals that are fragmenting your sleep patterns even though you can't hear any snoring.
