SleepyHead software - Problems with 64-bit Windows 7?

Post by ignorant1 » Sat Nov 12, 2011 5:36 pm

Has anyone else experienced problems trying to run SleepyHead software on a Windows 7 64-bit machine? This pertains to version 0.8.6

I keep getting an error approximately 1/3 of the way through the data import/download. I’ve tried it in XP mode (both SP2 & SP2) but still have had no success.

I’ve also re-downloaded the SleepyHead software just in case there was a glitch in the initial download, but nothing works.

Here’s the crash report:

I just installed SleepyHead yesterday on my Windows 7 64-bit machine and after Pugsy told me what I was doing wrong in locating the files everything works fine.

Try deleting or renaming the \Users\%username%\Documents\SleepApp directory and letting SleepyHead recreate it.

Archangle - Thank you for the suggestion! I deleted the folder, and SleepyHead did create a new one - but it didn't work. I tried twice.

Do you have any other suggestions?

One other thing I thought of - My data is from a Resmed S9 Adapt, which is an ASV machine. The reason I tried this is due to reading in a recent thread that Sleepyhead now supports ASV machines. Perhaps that person was mistaken? I hope not - I've REALLY been wanting to try out sleepyhead!

Thanks Again!

SleepyHead will work with the PR S1 ASV machines but I believe on Resmed it is VPAP or lower...

Seriously bummed out, but oh well. I REALLY wanted to try out the Sleepyhead software.

I realize that the Resmed ASV's constitute a miniscule portion of the market right now - but maybe support for them will be added at a later date?

The new ResMed ASV is very, very new to the market and I am not sure if Jedimark even has some data to work with to get SleepyHead to work with that information. You might ask in the SleepyHead thread as I think he monitors it.
That said, I think he recently had some surgery so not sure if he is back yet.
But in this thread he will see your problem and address it.

Pugsy,

Thanks for the suggestion - I will post something there for him to see...

There is a newer version of Sleepyhead (0.8.7) and this is in the update features:

"What's New?
You can now Shift+Left Click on a day in an overview graph, and it will jump to that day in Daily tab.
New calendar navigation bar allows easy hiding the calendar to get more room.
(Relative) AHI is displayed above the flow rate waveform for selected area.
Improved support for ResMed S9 ASV/VPAP Machines.
Added some basic CSV export capabilities.
A new preference option to switch some daily graphs between square plots and normal line plots.
Some graphing optimizations to improve performance.
Quite a few other little bugfixes I've forgotten about."

Good Luck!

Thanks ronbien!

The fact that I am using Win7 64-bit was irrelevant, as Sleepyhead works fine with it. Mark has revised the software so that it now works with the resmed "S9 VPAP Adapt" ASV data.

I just posted a comment in the other (main) thread: viewtopic/t65738/SleepyHead-Qt-v08-alpha.html

Since the problem has been resolved and I don't want to distract others from the main thread, I figure it's probably best to let this thread die off now...

Yep, exactly the same with Pugsy helping me out!
Cheers,

I am running win.10 and it refuses to open in either normal OR broken GL.. The computer locks up. I have to log off and restart my session. The 32 bit version works - but since I have an I7 processor I think it should at least open the program. Is there a more recent build for this problem? I can't seem to find anything but the 0.9 T1 build anywhere.
