Re: disinfecting nasal pillows
Control III is nasty and somewhat dangerous UNTIL DILUTED. READ THE FLIPPING DIRECTIONS. Before use, you add one ounce of concentrate to 1 gallon of water. Thats something like 100 to 1 dilution. Once diluted, it's pretty benign. Don't drink it or get it in your eyes. Unfortunately, the labeling on ...

Re: Counterfeited cushions ???
Considering how badly we get ripped off by the "legitimate" manufacturers, outright "counterfeit" mask parts might be a good idea. Especially if they don't even pretend to be the real thing, just compatible. As for the likelihood of counterfeits, it could happen. Masks and mask parts have an easy 10...

Re: Extreme flatulence every morning since CPAP
There's a YouTube video about a technique to help in my Useful Links at the bottom of this post. It might not help, but it's free.
I find the problem got better for me over time, but I've been PAPping for a long time.

Re: Why do some people still use CPAP?
sorry for like a rude/ignorant question, please be kind what I mean is, is everyone not fit to be cured by surgery? BTW I am new to CPAP and I feel like I can't live with it forever. Again sorry for stupid/offensive question The currently available surgery has a poor success rate, high cost, lots o...

Re: Distilled water machine for cpap?
Any water distiller you buy at Walmart or wherever will work fine. All of the deposits end up in the distiller and the you can clean the distiller out with CLR or other cleaners. It is more money up front, but in the long run it may be cheaper. I've had mine for about 10 years. Got it for drinking ...

Re: C02 Blood levels increasing
I don't think CPAP or sleep apnea is likely to be related to your CO2 numbers, unless they're doing the blood draw in your sleep. I think that CO2 concentration in the blood has a very short half-life. Sleep apnea or rebreathing your exhaled air could increase your blood CO2 while asleep or wearing ...

Re: SD Card Full
I'm skeptical it's actually full. Is the CPAP machine telling you it's full? What does your PC say?
In my experience, SD cards are very unreliable, so maybe it's just a hardware or data glitch.

Re: Cpap about be run over in “tragic” accident
A few suggestions. 1)Try signing up for an ID and listing your equipment and mask in your profile. I know they had a problem with registration, but I think it works now. That way, everyone can see your equipment every time they read your post. 2) Try to figure out what CPAP model and pressure settin...

Re: Resmed S8 vs. S10
You may be able to make smart start work with a FFM mask by covering the anti-asphyxia port on the mask with your hand and breathing in and out. Sometimes, it will work even without that if you forcefully inhale and exhale. Some machines won't let you do auto start if the mask type is set to FFM.

Re: sd claims by resmed - true or not ?
I've worked with electrical approvals for equipment, although it was not for medical equipment. It's very possible that a third party SD card might violate the safety standards and ResMed is legally required to say to only use their own SD cards that have been examined and determined to meet safety ...

Re: Bedroom plants.
I have seen some information on having plants in the bedroom; To remove toxins from air. Perhaps to increase O2. I am astonished to find out some plants release O2 at night, while most release O2 during day. Rather than my posting research links. Anyone have any actual experience? I am thinking of ...

Since N. fowleri was discovered in 1965, there have been something like 3 reported cases in the USA of people catching Naegleriasis from tap water. That's 50+ years. There have only been something like 300 reported cases worldwide of Naegleriasis deaths from water of any source, A google search wil...

====== let it sit for a few days in a bowl the problem should be gone the chlorine would kill the fish and the pet store had a sign saying to let the chlorine go away naturally I do NOT recommend using tap water that has sat for a while in your humidifier. Once the chlorine evaporates, stuff can gr...
